Sergio Aguero’s Move To Chelsea Back On?
by Jason Green of Predictem.com
Over the summer it had been speculated that Sergio Aguero would move from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea, but those talks died out. Now it has been recently reported that the deal may be back on. Chelsea has already begun Premier League play, but they still want to sign a solid striker before the transfer period ends.
People’s Sport has reported that Chelsea will pay a transfer fee of 48 million to retain the services of Sergio Aguero. Chelsea has been linked with this deal for some time, but money seems to be the main stumbling block. Atletico Madrid also seems to want a player in the deal as well as cash.
Chelsea has begun the Premier season well, but head coach Carlo Ancelotti still wants to add another striker. Aguero heads the shortlist of candidates for that position.
Aguero is already the main man for Atletico Madrid and he was solid for them last season and in Champions League play. They even offered him a new contract, but it looks as if Chelsea may lure him to England.
There has been recent press reports that Chelsea has sweetened the deal by including Deco. Deco has had injury problems in the past, but he has proven his worth in the Primera Division. However, he has played solid so far this young season and Ancelotti may be a little hesitant for the 2-time Champions League winner to leave Chelsea.
