The new Champions League winners Barcelona recently rejected a deal where they would receive Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. At first the deal was supposed to be for Inter Milan’s Ibrahimovic and Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o, but that deal fell through.

According to Sport Mediaset Inter’s boss Massimo Moratti had laid out the deal with Barcelona boss Joan Laporta for Andres Iniesta, but now the second deal has fallen through as well.

The La Gazzetta dello recently reported that the reason the deal with Eto’o fell through is because he was making demands that were simply too high. The Cameroon striker wanted 65 million just to agree to the swap deal, a 15 million pay-off from Barcelona, and a 5 year deal with Inter Milan at 10 million a year. There has been no reason given, as of yet, why Barcelona rejected the deal for Andres Iniesta.

Rather then part with Andres Iniesta or Eto’o Barcelona made an offer for giving Inter Yaya Toure, which would be a great deal for the Spanish giants since he is not getting along well with the team. If Inter manager Jose Mourinho agrees to this new deal the Italian club would still want at least 40 million to release Ibrahimovic, because he is signed to a contract with Inter until 2013 and that contract is believed to have a value of 70 million.

On a separate note Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not impressed suitors with his recent play, as he is currently playing for Sweden, which has not scored 1 goal in their last 3 World Cup qualifying matches.
