Roulette: The 3rd 12 Bet (25-36)

Roulette is a casino game that offers many betting opportunities. When playing Roulette there are both inside bets and outside bets. The inside bets are the actual 36 numbers that are on the wheel and you can make individual number bets, 2 number bets (betting on 2 numbers to hit), and corner bets (betting on 4 numbers to hit). The outside bets that you can make are betting boxes that are outside the numbers on the betting table. Some of the outside bets you can make are odd or even, red or black, or a “dozen’s bet.”
There are 3 dozen’s bets that you can make, which are 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. Let’s say you lay a bet in the 25-36 betting box. What this means is that you are betting that when the Roulette wheel is spun that the ball will rest on a number between 25-36. If the ball does rest on one of those numbers you are a winner and you will be paid out 2 to 1. You have the option to make the 25-36 bet by itself or you can also bet it with a combination of other bets. Many Roulette players, in order to maximize their winning potential, will make a dozen’s bet, such as 25-36 and then bet on individual numbers that are from 25-36. If one of those numbers hits, you will not only win the 25-36 bet but the individual number bets, which will give you a sweet payout.

If you play Roulette online it is always a good idea to find an Internet casino that offers European Roulette. The reason for this is that it lowers the house edge. In European Roulette there is only one zero on the wheel and with American Roulette there are two zeroes, so two chances to hit the green zero. If you are making the 25-36 bet when playing European Roulette you have better odds, as there is obviously less of a chance to hit one zero than two.
