Super Bowl LIX Prop Bets: Exotic Picks & Predictions

Super Bowl LIX – Exotic Game Props
Where: Caesers Superdome (New Orleans, LA)
When: Sunday, February 9th at 6:30 PM EST
Watch: FOX
Coin Toss Result – Tails (+105)
It’s hard to provide any real rationale for a coin toss result that has true 50-50 odds, but let’s give it a try. In the past 4 Super Bowls, heads has been a winner three times, including last year. I’ll play the law of averages and put my money on tails this Sunday. As the “home team,” Kansas City will be making the call. Tails never fails, right?
First Offensive Play of the Game – Run (-165)
Taking this bet as a passing play would pay out a little better (+125), but betting on the run makes way too much sense. In the Super Bowl, when the stakes are at their highest level, I expect a bit of caution on the opening drives. If the Eagles get the ball first, the only logical move is to hand the ball to Saquan Barkley. If the Chiefs get the ball first, they will look to sustain a long drive while mitigating the risk of any turnover. It’s not a flashy bet, but the ball will stay on the ground for at least the first play.
Jersey Number of First Touchdown Scorer – Over 15.5 (-115)
I always like taking the over for this prop bet, mainly because it covers all of the running backs. If you’re like me and you expect Kareem Hunt or Saquan Barkley to score the first TD of the game, this bet makes a lot of sense. Taking the over would also capture the likes of Travis Kelce and Dallas Goedert, which only adds to the value of the play. If you’re backing this play you’ll want both teams to avoid passes to receivers in the red zone. And, of course, watch out for the tush push.
Will Either Team Attempt a 2-Point Conversion in the Game? – Yes (+105)
When the spread of a game is as small as this one (just 1.5 points), I am fully expecting this game to come down to the wire. While the right scenario will need to play out in order for teams to consider attempting a 2-point conversion, I’ll take the play that pays out slightly in my favor. The best part of this bet is that the result of the conversion attempt does not matter, either the Eagles or the Chiefs simply need to attempt one. This bet may not cash until later in the 4th quarter, so buckle up for the ride.
Combined TD and FG Scoring Yardage – Over 207.5 (-110)
The name of the game here is field goals and big plays. The other option is an extremely high-scoring game, but I am banking on the first outcome. The Eagles have one of the best defenses in the entire league, and the Chiefs can hold their own and force opponent’s drives to stall. I expect a handful of field goal attempts from each side and at 30, 40 or 50 yards per clip, this over cashes easily. I also expect at least one lengthy TD score, whether that be a Barkley run or a deep ball to any of the explosive wide receivers. You may have to keep a tally throughout the game as each score occurs, but this bet goes over, in my opinion.
