Friday NFL Notes: Vikings QB Brett Favre underwent surgery today on his injuried ankle. Many think that he will indeed be back in purple for the 2010-2011 NFL season. Chargers defensive stopper Shawne Merriman is said to be in talks with the SD Chargers. Merriman is a restricted free agent who is looking for a long term deal and the rumor is the Chargers want him back, but not with a long term deal. – 5/21
NFL News and Notes: The Cleveland Browns are expected to have Jake Delhomme as their starting QB. Ex-Seahawk Seneca Wallace would step in to start if Delhomme faulters in pre-season action. The NE Patriiots have released veteran CB Shawn Springs who says he still wants to play somewhere in 2010. Rams RB Steven Jackson is rehabing from surgery he had to repair a herniated disc in his back. He plans to be at full strength for Week 1. Free agent Daunte Culpepper is expected to sign with Sacramento of the UFL. – 5/18
