NFL Betting Odds
Week 7’s NFL betting odds opened Pittsburgh at right around -1.5 for this game, with an over/under of 52.5. Early betting action kept that spread holding steady while dipping that total to 51.5.
Steelers vs. Titans Set-Up
Pittsburgh is 5-0 on the season after stuffing Cleveland last Sunday 38-7. The Steelers drove the opening possession of the game 58 yards to a field goal, then got a Minkah Fitzpatrick pick-six three plays later and basically rolled on from there. Pittsburgh led 24-0 before allowing the Browns to hit the board late in the second quarter, then blanked Cleveland in the second half, securing the victory and the easy cover as a three-point favorite.
On the afternoon, the Steelers only produced 277 yards of total offense but held the Browns to just 220. Pittsburgh also out-rushed Cleveland 129-75, won the time of possession by a 34:26 tilt, and won the turnover battle 2-0, creating a +14 points differential.
The Steelers have now out-gained and out-rushed each of their five opponents this season. They’re also 4-1 ATS.
Pittsburgh just played four home games in a row; they’ll now play three in a row on the road.
The Steelers may be 5-0 and in first place in the AFC North, but they’re only a half-game ahead of second-place Baltimore.
Tennessee, meanwhile, is also 5-0, after outlasting Houston last week 42-36 in overtime. The Titans punted on their first possession of the game, then drove 80, 71, and 85 yards to touchdowns on their next three to take a 21-10 lead into halftime. Tennessee then gave up a 26-8 Texans run to fall behind 36-29 with just under two minutes to go but drove 76 yards to a game-tying TD with four seconds left, then drove the opening possession of OT 82 yards to a game-winning score.

Also, by scoring that overtime TD, the Titans got the point spread cover surpassing the -4 spread.
On the day, Tennessee racked up 601 yards of total offense, although they also gave up 412 to the Texans. The Titans also lost the turnover battle 2-0, missed a field goal, and had another one blocked, all of which combined to cost them about a 27-point swing. But the Titans out-rushed Houston 263-92, as RB Derrick Henry popped off for 212, and generally moved the ball at will, including in crunch time.
Tennessee has actually only out-gained two of its five opponents this season, but it’s also out-rushed three of five foes.
Two weeks ago, the Titans beat Buffalo 42-16 but actually got out-gained 370-334.
At 5-0, Tennessee leads the AFC South by a game and a half over second-place Indianapolis.
On the injury front, Pittsburgh MLB Devin Bush is now out for the season with a torn ACL, and the Steelers could be down one or two starting offensive linemen this week.
These teams last met three seasons ago, a 40-17 Pittsburgh victory.

Free NFL Pick
Tennessee ranks No. 2 in the NFL in total offense, but Pittsburgh ranks No. 2 in total defense, and in match-ups like this, we love betting on the defense. There’s nothing more aggravating than needing a defensive stop late in the game and not getting it. Plus, home-field advantage is almost non-existent in the NFL this season. We’ll take the Steelers, giving the short spread. Note: Does your bookie charge you -110 odds on your bets?
