However, since the shaky 2-2 SU start, the Eagles have won 8 straight games and are coming off their biggest win of the season in last week’s 24-19 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. At 10-2 SU, the Eagles are currently tied for the 2nd best record in the NFL and have a legitimate chance to secure home-field advantage in the playoffs when you consider their remaining schedule. On Sunday, the Eagles will attempt to keep their momentum alive when they host the Carolina Panthers as large betting favorites at Lincoln Financial Field.

Despite being 3-9 SU on the season, the Panthers have shown a lot of fight in recent weeks. Carolina scored back-to-back wins against the Saints and Giants. Afterward, they took the one-loss Kansas City Chiefs into deep waters and came out on the wrong side of a 30-27 outcome. As everyone is aware, the Eagles also have a lot more talent outside of Barkley in the likes of QB Jalen Hurts, WR AJ Brown, and others. It’s just that Barkley is having a sensational season and has reshaped the identity of the Eagles’ offense. In this ideal match-up for the Eagles offense, bettors should question if the Panthers can create enough scoring opportunities to threaten the 12-point betting spread. In recent weeks, Carolina QB Bryce Young has been a completely different quarterback than we witnessed in 2023 and even at the beginning of the year. Young is making better decisions and has not thrown an interception in the last three games. The problem with that scenario is that the Eagles lead the NFL in pass-rush and coverage grades, according to PFF. As a result, I see very few match-ups that the Carolina offense should win this Sunday.
