NFL Football Picks

Two NFL teams who thought they had their franchise quarterbacks will both be going to their second string in Week 9 when the Minnesota Vikings starter Jaren Hall after an injury to Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons play Taylor Heinicke while Desmond Ridder takes a seat. The New York Giants SHOULD have won their hard-fought game last week against the Jets. They played much better and should also have good fortune vs. a Las Vegas Raiders team which just fired their coach and benched Jimmy Garoppolo in favor of a rookie that has looked horrible in limited action. Week 11 TNF features a pair of teams who both grinded out wins that came down to the wire. While the Steelers having to travel on a short week is a disadvantage, not even that will stop them from having success vs. Freddie Kitchens poor management. James Conner will be back and should have success vs. a poor Browns run defense.

The Cowboys’ have played six teams who rank in the bottom half of defensive scoring and only one team that ranks in the top ten (Saints No. 10). This week they’ll play the No. 4 team in that metric who should be fully motivated after last week’s loss against the Chiefs.

Green Bay’s performance in L.A. last week was mind-boggling. They didn’t show up at all, which leads one to wonder if they weren’t distracted by all the hot chicks and sunshine in Tinsel Town (They have neither in Wisconsin!) Nonetheless, we expect them to get back on track vs. the Panthers Sunday.

The public will be one-siding the Ravens this week vs. a Bengals team who appears to have thrown in the towel. Andy Dalton has been benched and injuries have wrecked the Bungles season. However, a double digit division underdog? Laying this many points vs. a divisional opponent hasn’t been a good bet in years past.

I keep waiting for the San Francisco 49ers to let up but it just hasn’t happened yet. Seattle comes to town for a Week 10 MNF battle and will be a formdiable opponent. How will the loss of Kwon Alexander affect the Niners strong defensive unit. Seattle has been gaining steam, but shows cracks on the road at times. This is going to be an excellent game!

Detroit has lost four of their last five, but they have been competitive with three of the losses by one score. That said, this week the line is under a field goal, so a close loss may not get you the spread win. Read on to see who Loot is betting and why.

The Rams seem to have gotten back on track, averaging 30+ in four of their last five games. Pittsburgh played like garbage on MNF a couple weeks ago and barely got by a beat up Colts team last week. Mason Rudolph has the worst arm of any QB in football. The Rams look like as good of a bet as any in Week 10!

The Dolphins finally won last week! While it’s not probably they get it done on the road in Week 10 vs. the Colts, it COULD happen. Indy is banged up at almost all of their skill positions. In the end, they’ll probably get trampled by Marlon Mack but keep it close enough to cover and payoff at the window.
