Brett Farve leads the red hot New York Jets into Nashville to take on the undefeated Tennessee Titans. Tennessee bounced back from 14-3 halftime deficit last week to remain undefeated as they beat Jacksonville 24-14. New York has been outstanding in the past few weeks earning 4 straight wins. The Jets hope that momentum will be enough for someone to finally beat the Titans this Sunday.

Tennessee stands at a season mark of 10-0 the best in their franchise history. Tennessee has not had an extremely dominate undefeated season as maybe the New England Patriots had last year, but still have yet to be beat. In 5 of their last 6 games, the contest has been decided by 10 points are less. Many think Tennessee is on the verge of finally losing, but that has been an on-going theory. Due to that particular fact the Titans keep striving, keep impressing everyone. They are an incredible 10-0 ATS this season and look to keep the undefeated campaign alive.

New York knocked off the New England Patriots last week in a close game 34-31 in overtime. The Jets have won 6 of their last 7 with only an overtime loss to the Oakland Raiders during the stretch. The Jets are averaging right at 29 points per game placing them as the 2nd best scoring offense in the NFL. New York will need to put up some big points against a really good Tennessee defense if they have any hope of defeating the Titans this weekend.

Tennessee has only allowed 13 points per game this season on defense resulting in the top ranked scoring defense in the NFL. The Titans defense has also held teams to only 281 yards of total offense ranking them 6th best in the league. The Tennessee defense has truly been the backbone for this entire team this season and much of their success is due to their tremendous play. Tennessee offense has rushed the ball very good all season long averaging 132 yards per game on the ground placing them as a top 10 rushing offense. The rest of the offense has not put up any huge numbers, but veteran QB Kerry Collins has protected the ball very well and has not made many big mistakes.

The Jets sport a balanced offense attack that has racked up around 340
yards on average this season. Brett Favre has completed 70% of his passes
this season 2nd best in the NFL along with an amazing 18 touchdowns. The
Jets seem to be evolving into a very solid team surrounded by a lot of young
talent. The Jets defense has given up 22 points per game this season and
321 yards of total offense. New York has the 4th best rush defense in the
NFL holding teams to 81 yards per game on the ground. It will be interesting
to watch this defense against a true running team, considering the majority
of the teams the Jets have played are pass happy offenses.

Bookmakers have opened the line favoring the undefeated campaign by 4.5 points. The over/under for the contest has been posted at a mark of 40.5. Early action has nearly 2 out of every 3 of the betting public favoring the Jets ATS for this weeks match up. ML numbers have opened with Tennessee listed at -240 and NYJ at +200.

Tennessee will look for tailback Chris Johnson and LenDale White to be big factors this weekend. Johnson will likely get the most touches considering he has had the better season. Johnson has rushed for nearly 800 yards with 5 TDs. White has seen a good bit of carries as well rushing the ball 122 times for 470 yards. White is the bigger of the two backs and comes into the game in short yardage situations and power formations. In result of that, White has accumulated 11 TDs this season running the ball. The Titans will try and test the Jets defensive front early and often this weekend.

The Jets have a talented group of receivers for QB Brett Farve to target. Jerricho Cotchery and Laveranues Coles have each caught over 500 yards of passing and each have 5 TDs on the season. Jets running back Thomas Jones has been an effective force on the ground this season racking up 854 yards on the ground for 9 TDs. Jones is averaging 4.5 yards a carry and has played a big roll in the New York offensive success. Look for this balance attack to be firing on all cylinders when they travel to Nashville this weekend.

Betting Trends
The Jets are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games while being 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games on the road. The over total has gone the Jets way in 3 of their last 4 games. The Titans are as mentioned before a perfect 10-0 this season ATS. The under total has been on the Titans side in 9 of the last 13 games.

Jays Pick: The Jets will come out firing, and Tennessee will establish the run. Both offenses have some success. Take the over 40.
