Two teams struggling through mostly luck-less seasons meet when the 3-10 Jaguars host the 3-10 Jets Sunday afternoon.

New York, with the great Rodgers and a nice defense, was supposed to contend in the AFC this season. Instead, the Jets lost a bunch of close games and canned their head coach.

Jacksonville hoped to bounce back into playoff contention this season. Instead, the Jags also lost a bunch of close games and just recently lost their starting QB.

The NFL Week 15 betting market opened New York at -3 over Jacksonville, with an O/U of right around 40. Early betting action added a hook to that line.

New York is now 1-9 SU, 1-8-1 ATS its last nine times out after falling at Miami in overtime last Sunday 32-26. The Jets, as six-point dogs, led that game 23-15 through three quarters. But New York gave up a long kick-off return that set up a game-tying field goal in the last half-minute, then allowed the Dolphins to drive the opening possession of overtime 70 yards to a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville just snapped a five-game losing skid with a 10-6 victory at Tennessee last Sunday. The Jaguars, as three-point dogs with backup QB Mac Jones, trailed 6-0 through three quarters. But J’Ville hit the scoreboard on consecutive possessions and held on from there.

New York is averaging 300 YPG on offense this season, just 87 rushing. Defensively the Jets are holding opponents to 307 YPG, 120 rushing.

Jacksonville is averaging 297 YPG on offense, 99 on the ground, while allowing a League-high 396 YPG, 133 on the ground.
