Week 12 will feature a cross-conference clash between the AFC Norths Chicago Bears and the NFC Easts New York Giants will square off at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio with a 1:00 PM ET scheduled kick-off. The game is set to be televised on CBS in specific regional markets. Both teams enter on differing notes as the Giants come in off their fifth consecutive win against the Chicago Bears, where the Giants won 22-16 at MetLife Stadium last Sunday. As for Cleveland, they have yet to win a game this season and were nowhere near close last Sunday when they hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers. The final in that outcome was 24-9 Steel City.

The Browns remain on track to earn the number one draft pick as they are now nearly 75% of the way to a winless season. The Browns have now lost eleven games this season and if hope was not already killed, the Browns may have buried it. The last time the Browns came close to a win was against the Giants roommate the New York Jets four weeks ago where their offense managed to get 28 points but they could not hold off Gang Green and fell 31-28. Since then the Browns have been dissected at will but opposing teams. While the Browns have some young talent on their roster and a true athlete at cornerback in Joe Haden, they are nonetheless ineffective on either end of the field. The Browns are also 2-9 ATS this season, highlighting the fact the Browns have been a bankroll crusher as much as a whipping board. Most recently, the Browns have dropped their last five against the spread, losing by an average of over 20 points in their previous three losses.

The Giants come in off a 22-16 win against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night, preceded by huge wins on a Monday night against the Bengals and most notably when the Giants took down their arch rivals the Philadelphia Eagles. These results were fostered in New Jersey and now most of the country and betting community are beginning to focus on this outfit. As a result last week against Chicago, the Giants failed to cover as they were spotting nearly a touchdown after being a marginal favorite at the open. This turn of events may likely materialize yet again this week at Cleveland.

It is quite tempting to play on the Giants who continue to ride a hot hand and once again attack this situation from the perspective of getting a superior team at a deceptively favorable price. The Giants have been a riddle to solve for all that dare enter MetLife Stadium. Most recently, the Giants have taken down Chicago, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, New Orleans and Baltimore. Despite looking mediocre at the beginning of the season, the Giants continue to execute and find ways to win. Takers will likely follow suit and begin to roll their money on a team that continues to win. The more a team wins, the more action they normally get and the more prone they are to an overreaction and inflated number, its just how the cookie crumbles and the Giants may be prone to this now more than ever.

In the past we have been proponents of taking the Giants even when spotting points. However, this was when Big Blue was at the Meadowlands as the Giants are proven to be strong at MetLife Stadium. The problem lies in the fact that they arent at home this week. The Giants have lost two games on the road this year and are just 2-2 when they are away from New York. We are going to go ahead and take the Browns who will be looking for something to take away this season. While we cannot suggest the Browns will win this one outright, the market is aware that this team is due for a win at some point. Cleveland will look to study the film and find a wrinkle they exploit and perhaps change their fortune and give the Giants a scare at home before whatever faithful are still making it out to the Dawg Pound.
