Point Spread: BUF +2 / PHI -2
Over/Under Total: 47

This Sunday there is an AFC/NFC game where the team with the losing record has a better shot of making the playoffs than the team that is .500. The 5-7 Eagles will host the 6-6 Buffalo Bills in a game that is a must win for both organizations. The Eagles are in a three way tie for first place in the NFC East with Washington and New York, while although the Bills playoff chances are slim, they are still alive and not eliminated just yet. A loss for either team in this one could be the nail in the coffin though for the 2015 season.

The line opens with Philadelphia as a two point favorite at home and the over under is set at 47 points combined. Currently, a majority of the betting action is on the Eagles. 57% of the public likes them to get the home cover over the Bills. Much of this could be due to the huge upset win they got over the Patriots this past Sunday. As for the total points, 63% are liking this game to go over the posted total. Against the spread in 2015, the Eagles are 5-7, just like their actual record and the Bills are 6-5-1. This is a very even match up in many ways and I could see this one going either way.

The Philadelphia Eagles came into the 2015 season with huge expectations. The Chip Kelly offense was supposed to be unstoppable and I heard many Eagles fans proclaiming that they were a true Super Bowl contender as long as their defense showed up on the occasion that the Eagles did not score in the 40s by some chance. Haha, well, the Eagles are bad, but, with that said, they could still potentially make the playoffs. The NFC East has been an extremely disappointing division this year and there is a chance that the champion of that division could finish the season 7-9 or even worse. The Eagles have only won two of their last six games and their schedule is not getting much easier down the stretch. This game is a must win. A loss to the Bills and you can pretty much kiss the playoffs goodbye, but then again, who knows. Statistically in 2015, the Eagles are pretty average. They have the 15th ranked scoring offense and the 25th ranked scoring defense in the NFL. Demarco Murray was supposed to come in and be the catalyst to make this offense click. After twelve games, Murray only has 569 yards rushing and four rushing touchdowns. This was not what Demarco nor the Eagles organization had in mind. This weekend is big for the Eagles, they need to win to keep pace with the rest of the division. They need to show up on both sides of the ball. The offense needs to get rolling and the defense cannot allow Buffalo to dictate the tempo of this game or it will be a long day.

Buffalo is becoming respectable again. I kind of figured they would under Rex Ryan but never did I think Tyrod Taylor would be a legitimate NFL starter at quarterback. He was hardly serviceable in college, but he has held his own enough to not lose games for the Bills. Both scoring offense and defense for the Bills are ranked in the upper half of the NFL and their rushing offense, led by LeSean McCoy, has been the bread and butter of the offense. McCoy got banged up this past weekend against Houston, but the last I heard is that he was going to play against Philly. This game is personal for him so it would take a lot to keep him from suiting up in this one. This will be the first time he has faced the Eagles since they got rid of him. I cannot wait to see the passion he will bring to this one. The key this weekend for Buffalo is really the same as I said it was for Philadelphia. Do not let the other team dictate the pace. Buffalo needs to keep the Eagles offense off the field. Go on long drive, score points, call it a day. I like this match up for Buffalo, but I could see this game going either direction.

This game is a tough one to call. Like I just said, I can see the outcome going either way. This game to me is a complete coin toss. For some reason though, I just trust the Bills a little more here. Philly is coming off their biggest win of the season but I cannot see them having a repeat performance since they have not been consistent all year.. Buffalo wins an ugly 22-17 game.

Bobs Pick to Cover the Point Spread: I LIKE THE BUFFALO BILLS +2 AND UNDER THE POSTED TOTAL OF 47
