The Jets will continue forth on a very perilous season after they were crushed at the hands of the AFCs top seed, the New England Patriots last week at Foxborough. Now the Jets will host their cross-state rivals the Buffalo Bills who also come in off a crushing overtime loss where they battled back against their nemesis the Miami Dolphins. The Jets defeated the Bills earlier this year in Buffalo in a thrilling shootout. Kick-off is scheduled at 1:00 PM with the festivities to be aired live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on CBS.
In the early going, we have seen a heavy lean on the BIlls, likely as a reaction to what was witnessed last week with New England laying the wood to the Jets in Foxboro. The two losses contrast greatly in terms of aesthetic. As we highlighted already Buffalo took Miami to overtime. The Bills battled back from 14 down to take their arch rival in to extra time. However, in spite of all of this, the Bills were favored in this one. Miami marched in to a hostile environment with a back-up quarterback and achieved success. Kudos should be given to the Fins without question. This Bills defense was once again exposed by a Miami offense that unleashed the J train, also known as Jay Ajayi on the Bills as he found a lot of success on the ground. The Bills are 2-8 ATS in their last ten, showcasing their proficiency for being overvalued.

The Jets have been a trainwreck all season long. As was indicated by a leading NFL analyst, this is a football team that has great talent on their defense yet New England found a way to pick them apart like meat left for vultures. The New York Jets defense still remains a shadow of years past and their offense is completely disenfranchised. The Jets continue to deal with injuries to key players, most notably their quarterback position. The advantage working to the Jets here is the fact Buffalo may be completely demoralized having been officially eliminated from playoff contention last week. It is likely the Bills will treat this contest as a dress rehearsal given the fact the game has no significance to them. However, Rex Ryan may come in to this contest looking for a moral victory and to finish 8-8 ultimately to alleviate any pressure on him from the front office. Ryan is currently sitting on the hot seat.
We are going to play the team with that has been the subject of scorn and stay clear of the team that is likely being smothered as a result of an overreaction. Some analytics have shown up to 95% of the consensus liking the Bills in this contest. Given the fact this team is spotting road points and coming off a bitter loss we cant justify that position. Thus, the Jets are once again offered at a fantastic price given the fact they can probably even win in this contest. The Jets have beaten this team earlier this year on the road so they know how to attack and approach the Bills in particular. Assuredly the Jets are bottom feeders but at the same token they have played a very rigorous schedule this season. Coach Todd Bowles is also undoubtedly under the microscope in this one as a win against Buffalo for the second time this season would bolster his credentials and perhaps save his jobs in the Tri-State Area. Furthermore, there is a level of acrimony between Gang Green enthusiasts and Rex Ryan as he is the former coach of the Jets previous to Bowles arriving. A win for New York has emotional incentives.
The Bills will have their hands full traveling to MetLife Stadium, where the Gang Green faithful will be out in storms despite the season being tanked. Given what happened last week, the Jets are probably taking back more points than they should and they come in a perfect spot off the radar. In Over/Under markets, this game will likely be best played on the Under given the inconsistency found in both teams offensive units.
