The Cincinnati Bengals will return to action this week when they host the Baltimore Ravens at Paycor Stadium for a week 18 showdown. As many are aware, the Bengals and Bills week 17 contest was cut short after the scary collapse of Bills S Damar Hamlin, who remains in critical condition. While everyone waits and hopes for Hamlin’s recovery, the Bengals will attempt to move forward with their week 18 home game against the Ravens and still not knowing if the Buffalo game will be rescheduled. If the game is not rescheduled, the Bengals will win the AFC North and make Sunday’s week 18 showdown at Paycor Stadium mostly irrelevant.
Of course, the NFL has not officially made any announcement on the rescheduling, canceling, or any other measurement of the Bills vs. Bengals game. If the game is rescheduled, it opens the possibility of the Bengals suffering a loss to the Bills, which would intensify Sunday’s game as a potential battle for the AFC North. Therefore, bettors should pay close attention throughout the week for any updates from the NFL that could provide some clarity towards this week’s showdown between both the Ravens and Bengals. As things currently stand, the Ravens are favored by 7 points as Ravens QB Lamar Jackson remains sidelined with a knee injury which has kept him off the field for over a month now.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals Betting Analysis
As of mid-week, Lamar Jackson had still not returned to practice which cast doubt on his ability for Sunday’s game. However, the Ravens were hopeful that Jackson would be available this week, so his status is worth monitoring as well. In Jackson’s absence, the Ravens’ offense has been pretty bad despite going 2-2 SU. In those four games, the Ravens have failed to score more than 17 points in a single contest. Despite the pleasant return of RB J.K Dobbins, backup QB Tyler Huntley has been mediocre at best, throwing two touchdowns with three picks over the last five games while failing to breach 200 yards passing in any game. Therefore if Huntley is behind center again this week, our expectations for the Ravens’ offense will be grim yet again.
The good news for the Ravens is that the defense has stepped up in recent weeks, and they will need a big effort against Bengals QB Joe Burrow and this extremely talented offense. Receivers Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd continue to provide one of the most talented receiving corps in football. Not to mention, Burrow has begun to heat up during the home stretch just like we witnessed during last year’s Super Bowl run. In the last four games, Burrow is averaging just under 300 yards per game with 11 touchdowns and four picks. While the turnovers have been somewhat concerning, the Bengals’ offense has been rolling and getting help from tailbacks Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine during that same stretch. Therefore, the Bengals should have all the tools to attack a rather poor Baltimore pass defense, and that is why the betting line reflects the 7-point spread in favor of Cincinnati despite all of the unknowns.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals Betting Prediction
The best advice I have for this game is to follow the news for the rest of the week. If the Bills vs. Bengals game is not rescheduled, Cincinnati could take this game lightly, with their playoff scenario likely resulting in the No. 3 seed regardless of the outcome. Therefore there are a lot of different scenarios that can impact the importance of this game. At this time, I think the safest bet is the under 42 based on how the Ravens are having to play without Jackson. If the Bengals do get the opportunity to rest players, the “under” only becomes more valuable.
