Pacers vs. 76ers Spread Bet: Prediction and Betting Preview
NBA Predicted Winner for Indiana at Philadelphia
I haven’t had a lot of NBA picks so far this season, but it’s not that I haven’t been doing my handicapping homework.
True, most of my time does go to increasing my college football winnings in the upcoming Bowl season and trying to fix my NFL record, but I stilI run the NBA numbers every day. It’s just that I’ve been selective with picking my spots in the NBA.
In past seasons I didn’t start ‘capping the NBA until the football seasons ended but that left me at a disadvantage because I didn’t have any data built up that I could use to pick my spots. I corrected that this year, and I’ve been capping it every day since the first game of the season.
Last time I gave an NBA pick in my column was back on December 3rd when I had a WF1 play that said to Fade Indiana at Toronto.
The line was Indy – 3.
Toronto won 122-111.
And you know me, I like to stick with what works, and it just so happens that Indy is in the same spot today in Philadelphia.
After an ugly start of 2-12, the 76ers have started to turn things around and are winners of four of their last five games. Three of the four were by six points or more, and 6 is tonight’s number. The other win came by five points.
WF1 says Indy should be the favorite tonight. WF1 record on road teams is 13-20, a 60% Fade.
But it gets better.
WF2 also says Indy should be favored in this game. WF2 record on road teams is 6-10, a 62% Fade.
That’s two strong stats favoring a Fade on Indiana. And I’ve got a little bit more – when I get a match when both WF1 and WF2 pick the same WF, the record on road teams is 1-2.
The Pacers have dropped five of their last six games, and their average margin of defeat is in double digits at 12.6.
That’s double what I need to cover tonight with Philly at -6.
And in that horrible 2-12 start that Philly had, one of the two wins was at Indiana.
If they can beat the Pacers on the road when they’re not playing well, surely the Sixers can beat them tonight at home when they are playing well. So I’m pretty sure I’ve got the winner figured out in this one, and usually, that’s a big part of beating the spread, too.
And it doesn’t hurt that the Pacers are 4-10 ATS on the road.
When to Buy Recommendation
The line opened at Philly -6, and there are still plenty of shops with that number still available. Some houses are starting to add the hook though so I grabbed it this morning at the opening number.
