NBA Rookies of the Year Betting Odds
by Predictem.com Staff
The first thing that should be taken into consideration when betting on which NBA freshman will win rookie of the year honors is who is going to get playing time. With that being said, lets take a look at a few “rooks” that are sure to be in their teams starting lineups:
Blake Griffin: – A sure shot to start for the Clippers. As you can see by the odds listed below, the bookies believe he’s a cant miss as they’ve listed him at even odds.
James Harden – Here’s a guy that is beyond his years in “basketball maturity”. We’d love to pick him as the guy at +825 but with Kevin Durant on the same team hogging most of the shots, it will hinder Harden’s shot to win the award.
Johnny Flynn – Here’s a TOUGH point guard that could step in and make a difference IMMEDIATELY. The problem here is that nobody knows whether Ricky Rubio is giong to stay overseas or play with the T-Wolves.
Tyler Hansbrough – If you can tolerate risk, this may be a good bet as this guy’s work ethic is as strong as anybody’s. We could see him being a garbage man grabbing rebounds and putbacks giving him scoring/rebounding numbers of 15/8 should the Pacers give him 25-30 minutes each night.
