This weekend, the drivers are heading to a totally different style of track. It’s one of the few times of the year that we get to see drivers turn right and utilize skills outside of an oval track. Sonoma is a road course that showcases some serious driving talent from many drivers and then also some lack of skill from others. Let’s take a look at the betting opportunities and odds at the Sonoma Raceway.

This weekend the teams are headed to Michigan. This track is a 2-mile D-shaped oval boasting 18 degrees of banking in the turns, 12 degrees on the front-stretch, and 5 degrees on the backstretch. This weekend, we are headed to the Tricky Triangle. Pocono is a track that we loathe. It rains. It rains a lot. It rains all the time. If it doesn’t rain, I’ll be shocked. In fact, it is scheduled to rain this Sunday. Shocking. Regardless, this track is weird. It is a 2.5 mile asphalt track with only 3 turns. It boasts 14 degree banking in turn 1, 9 degree banking in turn 2, and 6 degree banking in turn 3. Virginia Vroom hopes to boast some banking of her own as she makes her Pocono 400 picks.

The real story is the black eye that Ryan Newman got from a very angry Clint Bowyer. Bowyer claims he was spun by Newman. Was there actually contact? Will that issue reverberate to the track on Sunday? Virginia Vroom breaks down the NASCAR odds and his picks for Charlotte.

This weekend, the drivers are heading to Charlotte for the All-Star Race. This is a much different race than anything we typically see during the normal season. Dover’s a wrap! After a race that was delayed Monday due to weather conditions, Martin Truex Jr. managed to take home the victory. Interestingly enough, Truex won after starting at the back of the pack for failing pre-race inspection prior to the race that never was on Sunday.
