The NY Yankees and the Detroit Tigers will take to the field at Comerica Park in the final game of a rain-shortened two game series in Detroit. The MLB betting board lists the Yankees as a -220 road favorite with the total line posted at eight runs.
In the opening match, the Yankees took it to the Tigers with an 8-6 victory as a -185 money line favorite. The 14 runs scored crushed the nine-run O/U line sending the game OVER the total line for the fourth consecutive game in this series. The road team cashed for the fifth time in the last six games between these two clubs.
Pitching Match-up
Yankees: Luis Servano will look to return to form after a disastrous start against the Bosox in his last outing where he was chased out in the sixth inning without recording an out. Servano was tagged for five runs in five complete innings getting his first loss on the season. The Yankee right-hander did look good in his first two starts allowing a combined two runs over 13 frames. Servano has three career starts against the Tigers, and he shone in his two outings last season pitching 11 2/3 innings allowing just two runs on ten hits and fanning 16 to go with four walks.
Tigers: Francisco Liriano gets the ball for the Tigers to make his third start of 2018. In his two previous he was sharp allowing a combined three earned runs over 12 2/3 innings recording a quality start in both outings. Liriano has a long history against the Yankees, but the majority came in the 2012 season and prior. He does have two recent starts against the Yanks one in late 2016 when he pitched six scoreless innings in a 9-0 beat down by the Jays and once again in Toronto uniform last season when he went five innings allowing two runs.

Yankees at Tigers Prediction 4/15/18
In what is forecast to be a wet, windy day the pitchers will have the edge in these conditions. Yankees starter Luis Servano and Tigers starter Francisco Liriano both throw a lot of sliders, and that pitch is especially nasty in high humidity. I expect the runs to be scarce tonight at Comerica Park.
