Buehler is making his first start in almost two weeks, after doing a short stint on the IL with a blister on a finger. He’s just 1/5 on quality starts on the season, although that one came last time out, when he held Colorado to one run through six innings, with 11 strikeouts against zero walks, in a 5-1 Los Angeles victory. But in his four starts prior to that, Buehler allowed 12 runs – 11 earned – on 13 hits and nine walks through 19 innings.

The Dodgers are 4-1 with Buehler this year, with the totals splitting 2-2-1.

Over four starts against Arizona last year, Buehler gave up nine runs and 20 hits through 24 innings, with 28 K’s. Los Angeles won three of those four games.

Gallen is a solid 6/7 on quality starts this year, running on a string of six in a row. Last Friday, he limited San Francisco to one run and five hits through seven innings of a 7-4 Diamondbacks win. And over his last three starts, he’s allowed just three runs and 11 hits through 20 innings.

Arizona is 5-2 with Gallen this year, with the unders going 5-2.

Over three career starts against the Dodgers, two last year and one earlier this season, Gallen allowed six ER and 13 hits through 16 1/3 innings, with six walks and 20 whiffs. The Diamondbacks won two of those three games.
