My Picks for the 2025 Genesis Invitational

Jason Day – Top 10 Finish (+275)

Jason Day has played at the Riviera Country Club seven times as a member of the PGA Tour, dating back to 2010. He has the experience to know the course layout well but has had some mixed levels of success in his seven appearances. However, in his last two Genesis Invitation events in 2023 and 2024, Day finished 9th and T-9th. He has seemingly unlocked something in his game, which has allowed him to find success. Over his last four events, his approach game has been otherworldly, gaining over 10 strokes. The field is not as strong as we have seen in past years, so I will be backing a golfer trending upwards.
 
 

Ludvig Aberg – Top 5 Finish (+325)

With the 5th best odds in the field to win the event outright, I absolutely love a top-5 finish for Aberg this weekend. Aberg’s ball-striking is at the very top of the tour, and if we eliminate his last two performances, he has been on a tear. There were some whispers of illness impacting his Farmer’s and Pebble Beach finishes (and withdrawal), but the Swede looks like he’s a full go at Riviera. His distance off the tee will be a huge benefit and he has posted positive true strokes gained ratings in all phases of his game in recent events. If his putter can handle the undulating greens, he is going to be dangerous.
 

Keegan Bradley – Top 10 Finish (+350)

This betting line seems way too high from my perspective; therefore I am going to hammer this as a value play. Bradley may have struggled last weekend at Pebble Beach, but he is much more familiar with this course. In his career, he has posted two top-5 finishes, and two additional top-20 finishes. His recent performances have left a bit to be desired, but he is playing some of his best golf recently. Specifically, I am going to lean on the long-iron play of Bradley and expect that it will keep him in contention through all four rounds.
