Ah, the FedEx playoffs have arrived! Had a nice near-miss win last week at Tour's last chance to make the playoffs at the Wyndham Championship. Man, have we seen some great golf by the young guns this season or what....and then along comes Davis Love III! It's survive and move on this week.
JUSTIN ROSE 11/1 OUTRIGHT WIN - He's finished no worse than 6th in his last four starts and was 6th in his last appearance at the Barclays when it was held at Plainfield Country Club. So consistently good this summer he earned the 5th overall seed.....no wonder, he's only placed T6th, T4th, T3rd and 4th since The Open Championship.
DUSTIN JOHNSON 11/1 OUTRIGHT WIN - DJ is the 7th seed and finished a solo 5th in 2013. He has reached the finals during the stretch from 2009 - 2013, won at Plainfield in 2011 and has two Top 4s at TPC Boston.
PAUL CASEY 7/1 TOP 5 FINISH - He's been quiet, very workman-like and very good because he has seven Top 10s this season and a third place at his last start. Casey is a great ball striker and has great form.
ROBERT STREB 9/2 TOP 10 FINISH - It's his second time in the playoffs and his T9th was his best finish in 2014 and that came at TPC Boston where the second round will be held next week. There's no doubt that he has had a wonderful coming out season this year and earned the 6th seed.
DAVID LINGMERTH 11/2 TOP 10 FINISH - Another golfer with a breakthrough season and a win at the Memorial. As the 21st seed he has three Top 6 finishes this year and a T12th recently at Whistling Straits.
