    JoePa's THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP Picks

JIM FURYK 20/1 TO WIN OUTRIGHT & 5/1 TOP 5 FINISH - El Loopie was runner-up in 2014 which was his career-best finish at TPC Sawgrass in 19 starts. He finished 4th last week at the Cadillac Match Play, won the RBC Heritage a couple weeks ago, and in 8 events this year he has 3 Top 10s and 8 Top 25s. Great recent form.....and he challenged last year.

HUNTER MAHAN 55/1 TO WIN OUTRIGHT & 13/1 TOP 5 FINISH - Mahan is back on his game after T9th at The Masters AND the Cadillac Match Play last week. He ranks 21st in ball striking, 11th in total driving---which is great for TPC Sawgrass---his driving accuracy over his last three tournaments is flirting with 70+%, 17th in strokes gained putting, 9th in total putting, 44th in scrambling (a career high) and has three Top 20s on the season.

LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN 11/1 TOP 5 FINISH - A very capable golfers with 50/1 outright win odds. And, hes healthy! We have seen glimpses of his return over the last couple of weeks. He has 4 Top 10s and a Top 20 finish over the last two months, ranks 8th in strokes gained tee-to-green, 9th in GIR at 71%, makes 93% of his putts from 7' or closer and in 8 events this year he has 4 Top 10s and 6 Top 25 finishes.

BRENDAN DE JONGE 25/1 TOP 5 FINISH - His game has really picked up and he arrives in good form with Top 25 finishes in each of his last three Tour starts! He has a pair of T15s at TPC Sawgrass, is 25th in fairways hit on the season, T35th in GIR and 25th in adjusted scoring. Remember Tim Clark? Clarkie was 34 years old with 205 Tour starts before his first victory which was the last time a 1st time winner won The Players....well, De Jonge finds himself in a similar situation being 34 years old and winless in 225 Tour starts....just saying! If you are interested he's a 125/1 shot to win outright.
