    JoePa's Barclays Picks

Managed another Top 5 winner last week with Brandt Snedeker. He was T6th when finished but a couple of bogeys by others on the course brought the field back to him. Now it's time for the FedEx Playoffs. Love the hustle down the stretch and the extra pressure to survive to the next round. The Barclays has been full of surprises in the past.....

HENRIK STENSON - 16/1 OUTRIGHT WIN - It's only his 13th Tour start on the season, but he is coming off his best finish of the year when he T3rd at Valhalla where he led the field in strokes gained putting.

PHIL MICKELSON - 5/1 TOP 5 FINISH - Lefty nabbed his first Top 10 of the season when he was 2nd at Valhalla a couple weeks ago, and he has eight (8) Top 20s on the season. I hope he's in a New York/New Jersey state of mind, because those people love him. It's like having a hometown crowd.

NICK WATNEY - 10/1 TOP 5 FINISH - Jog your memory banks, believe it or not....he won The Barclays in 2012 and has Top 10 finishes in four (4) of the last five (5) Barclays as well as three (3) Top 10s in his last four (4) Tour starts, the last being a T5th at the Wyndham Championship. An errant tee ball on the last hole of last week's tournament cost him a bonafide shot at grabbing a victory.

WEBB SIMPSON - 11/1 TOP 5 FINISH - He's like a Subway sub---fresh---fresh off a T5th at Sedgefield last week in the Wyndham! He has eight (8) Top 10s this season and ranks 21st in scoring so why not?!

JIM FURYK - 11/2 TOP 5 FINISH - Hey, didn't Jimbo oversleep, hit the snooze, or forget to set him alarm here last year and miss his tee time for the Barclays! He's not gonna do it this year because he's a viable contender. He's got Top 20 finishes in his last six (6) starts including three (3) majors. Currently he ranks 2nd in proximity and 1st in scrambling on Tour.

    Arrgggghhhhhh! Jimbo, you killed me!:lost:

A bogey on the 72nd hole sends him to a T8th when a par would have been a payout window T5th! So close, yet so far.......guess it didn't matter to him, he couldn't win and he moves onto next week!
