    JoePa's TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP Picks

    JOEPA'S UPDATED YTD
    +26.50 UNITS

Seems like a week off after the U.S. Open, but this week's field is still pretty strong with last week's champion and a few Top 10 finishers in the field as well. Still, I am looking at some of the young guns and not-so-big names.

RYAN MOORE 13/2 E.W. - He was a runnerup in 2011, one of two runnerup finishes he has at @ TPC River Highlands and where is scoring average is 66.17 over his last 12 rounds. He's been idle for the last two weeks and I don't like long layoffs, but he does have great course form to go along with 3 Top 10s this season. Moore T8th at the Valero and T5th at the Wells Fargo earlier in the spring, is ranked 27th in driving accuracy, 28th in birdie average, 19th in sand saves, 9th in par 4s birdies or better and 9th in consecutive cuts made with 7.

JOHN MERRICK 14/1 E.W. - A solo 2nd @ the FedEx St. Jude two weeks ago where he was one of two in the St. Jude field with 4 rounds in the 60s. He ranks 23rd in GIR, 43rd in birdie average and 19th in par 4 birdies or better, so he comes in with good recent form. As far as course form he T11th in 2009 and T9th in 2011.

JOHN ROLLINS 20/1 E.W. - Tied for 2nd last year when he led the field with 25 birdies. He also T3rd in fairways hit and GIR @ TPC River Highlands. He's made 9 cuts this year with 8 Top 25s that includes 4 Top 10s with a T10th @ the Sony, 3rd @ The Farmers, T8th @ the Waste Management, T7th at the Zurich although he's been cut in his last 2 tour starts---the Crowne Plaza and FedEX---but before that he score three Top 25s and one Top 10. He's 18th on tour in birdie average, 28th in GIR, 28th in driving distance, 29th in driving accuracy and 2nd in total driving.

JOHN HUH 11/1 E.W. - A breakout year continues with four Top 10s and another four Top 25s. In his last two starts he T5th @ Colonial and T19th @ The Memorial making 12/16 cuts on the year. Also on the year he has T6th @ the Farmers, T12th @ the Waste Management, T6h @ the Farmers, T14th @ the Shell Houston, Won in a playoff @ the Mayakoba Classic, T2nd @ the Valero, and T23rd at The Players.
