It's the second major of the year on the LPGA tour with Cristie Kerr as the defending champion. I'm going away from the obvious picks, i.e. Kerr, Tseng, Shin, Creamer.....
BRITTANY LINCICOME 16/1 to win outright - Lincicome has been hot on the season with 3 Top 10s in her 9 tour starts, two of them in her last two outings with a victory at the Shoprite and a T3rd at the State Farm. She is 3rd in driving average, T2nd in eagles, 4th in birdies, and T13th in rounds under par on the year. Simple thoughts and an smooth swing for this golfer who took a bag of carrots on her third round at the State Farm to feed the traffic cops horse while crossing the road.
SHAN SHAN FENG 50/1 to win outright - Feng has 2 Tops 10s in 9 starts this year with a T9th at the Avnet Classic and a T8th at the State Farm. She is 28th in scoring, 3rd in GIR at 75%, 22nd birdies and T36th in rounds under par. She's even recorded 4 eagles this season at one tournament----one in each round. Could she be China's first-ever champion and also grab her first win. She's very capable and always near the top of the leader board.
SANDRA GAL 66/1 to win outright - Have you seen this girl play? Have you seen this girl's legs? She's got the total package and both her play and her legs are as good as her stats and she's quite the fashion plate on tour. In 7 starts this year, Gal has 3 Top 10s that include a win at the Kia Classic. She's T16th in rounds under par, 11th in birdies, 10th in sand saves, 10th in scoring average, 10th in putts per green, and owns a 64% GIR rating. Worth a long shot with her distance and accuracy off the tee of late and she really manages the course well.
