    2011 Northern Trust Open

First round picks, seems I've been doing pretty well and hope I can nail a few openers this week. Two big names Ernie Els and Nick Watney not playing this week. Three big names are getting together for the featured group of the day. Bubba, Couples and A. Kim. Most of the stats between the three are almost identical. I'll take anyone over Fred for a couple reasons, first dude has been getting used to playing three rounds and not starting until Friday. Second, these boys can bomb the ball and both are known to play at a quick pace. Kim tied for 19th, 13th and sixth in his first three events this year before missing the cut at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He is a Los Angeles native and should be a crowd favorite this week, as well. Watson may be known for his booming drives -- he currrently leads the TOUR with an average of 316.3 yards -- but he's also tied for third in greens in regulation, which is a career high. Should be a fun group!

    Kim -120 over Bubba......................1 unit.

    Furyk +100 over Kuchar.................1 unit.

    DJ -105 over Stricker......................1 unit.

Mahan (on fire)-135 over Day..........1 unit.

    Vegas -135 over Lunde...................1 unit.

Nice day yesterday going 3-1-1 making a profit of a couple units. Losing my play on Furyk. Second round is usually a big crap shot. This, of course, is when players make their move for the cut. I never go by what they've done in the first round but rather who they are paired with, stats of previous second rounds and what and where they were at. Another key, just like the rest of us is where you play. Who loves, likes or hates the course. I try to take all that into my picks. Freddie has always been a California guy, I'm still surprised he wanted to tee it up @ Riviera.

    Kim -140 over Couples....................1 unit.

Hunter hasn't let me down yet so I'm sticking with him until he falters. Even when he does he's sure to make me some units in the long run.
    Mahan -135 over Day......................1 unit.

    Stricker -105 over DJ......................1 unit.

    Karlsson +100 over Goose...............1 unit.

    GL on your plays today:thumbs:.
Golf show in Cleveland Saturday, so I may not get plays in.

1-4 yesterday as Na did not implode. Thought he'd do it. Possible today. I may try to take the veterans today. Just can't see Na or Bads winning this thing.

        Stricker -135 over Goose.....................1 unit.

        Appleby +105 over Choi......................1 unit.

        Holmes -135 over Cink.......................1 unit.

        Moore -125 over Senden.....................1 unit.

        Bads -110 over Na.............................1 unit.

GL today, sure would be cool to see Fred win it.
