JoePa's AT&T Classic, Sybase Classic & Irish Open

    AT&T CLASSIC -

ZACH JOHNSON 14 / 1 - Johnson has 3 Top 10s in 5 tries here, winning in 2007, T2nd in 2006 @ -15, and won the thing in his maiden voyage in 2004 carding a -13. He's almost a homer play....LOL! Has finished 1,26,2,1 in his last four starts here and clearly loves Sugarloaf. He seems to play well in Georgia and has 3 victories here including The Green Jacket.

    WITHDREW........STEVE MARINO 50 / 1 - Marino is 1 for 1 in Top 10s in the AT&T where he finishes T6th last year with a -11. He's 13th in scoring average with a 70.09, 38th in driving distance @ 290.7 yards, 39th in GIR @ 65.65%, 56th in putting average @ 1.777, 18th in birdie average, 1st in birdies with 196, and 20th in par breakers.....hmmmmmm!

    WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!
RYUJI IMADA 30 / 1 - Just for the plain and simple fact that he's finished in the Top 10 two years running with a sole 2nd place finish last year @ -15 and T10 in 2006 @ -10. He's also 18th in the FedEx standings and has finished 2nd twice this year....in the Buick and PODS, while also taking a 5th in the Northern Trust! He's 37th in scoring average.

    SYBASE CLASSIC -

ANNIKA SORENSTAM 11 / 4 - Annika announced yesterday that she was retiring and has been on a tear lately winning two straight tournaments - the Michelob Ultra and the Standiford Pro-Am. She has 7 Top 10s this season in 10 outings, with two 2nds, a 4th and a T9th. The Upper Montclair CC is a 6433 yard layout, par 72 that demands you hit fairways and greens----keep the ball in play! Last year only 2 players, one of them Lorena, broke 70 more than 2x and the average field scoring average was 73.81. Annika T6th in 2006, T8 in 2001 and won here in 2000....she hits GIR in 74% fashion and is tied for 12th in driving accuracy on tour with a 76.1% average.

HEE WON HAN 40 / 1 - Han is T16th in driving accuracy at 75.8% and 18th in GIR at 68.8%, has finished in the Top 10 in 3 of 6 tries with a T2nd in 2006, T11th in 2005, won in 2003 and finished 2nd in 2002.

YANI TSENG 33 / 1 - Tseng, a rookie with better odds than Han....no wonder she's got two 2nds this season at the Ginn Open and MasterCard Classic and finished a strong 16th last week at the Michelob Ultra with second and fourth rounds of 69 and 67! She's tied for 3rd in rounds under par, T14 in birdies, 5th in GIR @ 71.8%, 66.7% driving accuracy off the tee, and 9th in driving average at 267.6 yards of carry.

    IRISH OPEN -

ROBERT KARLSSON 25 / 1 - Karlsson has had two great weeks in a row....can he make it a third? He's proved to be a scoring machine and ranks 2nd on the Euro Tour in scoring average @ 69.78. He's 72.7% in GIR, but what makes him really effective is his scrambling ability where's he's the best scoring par or better 70.3% of the time he misses greens in regulation. The Irish Open is definitely a different kind of track for him....

JOHAN EDFORS 60 / 1 - Edfors was horrible last week! I'm banking that it was just an aberration and that he'll bounce back this week....and the price is very nice! Edfors is 5th on the Euro in scoring average @ 69.91 and is 2nd in GIR at an amazing 79.1%!
