Just curious if anyone has heard anything about the Cap's resigning Eminger to a deal??? done some digging and havent heard anythnig about a deal or trade rumors.... bit of a random question but a good bit of you that posts from the people on this thread often seem to get a good deal of insight!

As far as Emminger, i think that teams were waiting to sign the big names before they signed off on the other players to see what kind of cap room they had left. I think that in the next week to 2 weeks you will see a lot of the "role" type guys start getting deals and extensions as just about everyone has been signed that could be termed an "A-list" player. Souray is still out there and Forspussy, but i don't think he is coming back.

Souray looks like a done deal to the Sharks. Wow, is that PP gonna be something if he puts up numbers like he did in MON. I would have to make SAN "on paper" the team to beat next year. ANA will have cup hangover just like the rest of them always do. I don't see anyone better than SAN on paper right now.

BTW...schedule is out for 2007-2008. Maybe it's been out a while, but i just noticed it today.

if they land Souray I would agree on paper the sharks would look scary. They still have all the Marleau rumours swirling tho so im curious what's gonna be done with him. I can see him trying to land Briere/Drury money next offseason and he's not gonna get that in SJ with Thornton making what he is. I think they're trying to cut bait with him asap.

I know they're my team and all but I really like what Nonis has done with my nuckers. He's built up the farm and finally has some assets to play. We're set at goalie and our defence from top to bottom may be the best in the league at the moment. Not on top end talent but in terms of balance. So many rumours here. I've heard Ohlund/Morrison/prospect for Elias, heard similar for Gionta. I've heard Bourdon/1st or 2nd rounder for Pominville tho I can't see the sabres giving up anymore offensive talent with the losses they've already had. I've heard we're sniffing around higgins and ryder out of montreal. Yashin was supposedly on the radar but seems he wants money like he was making on the island, what a turd this guy is. Lindros rumors, and god help us Allison rumours. The forsberg rumours never die. I don't know what we'll end up with but look for my nucks to make some big moves before the offseasons done.

They guy got bought out for a billion dollars, there are huge questions regarding his heart, and he is definitely on the downswing of his career. He wants to win the lottery twice? Yashin is a 2nd line/3rd line centerman and a 2PP Unit guy at this point in his career. He has worn out his welcome and flamed out badly with both OTT and NYI. If i was a GM, i would offer they guy a 1 or 2year deal worth 1-2M tops and if he wanted it great, if not then who cares. He leaves his effort in the lockerroom about 1/2 the season which would be a big worry for me as a GM. No way can you spend any kind of money on him.

Exactly...worth the risk for some teams at 2 mil to plug him in at 2nd line CR, but his agent Gandler is looking for Guerin/Blake/Bertuzzi money (4-5 mil per). **** him...let him go back to Russia.

It's stupid tho, Blake and Guerin have earned thier contracts. Canucks are trying hard to land another top 6 winger, Yashin could sign a 1 year deal in 2 mill range and line up with Nazzy and from the rumors Elias/Gionta/Higgins/Ryder/Pominville potentially. I agree with that about bert... i would have thought maybe 3 as well but by the looks of it at least he puts an effort forth. also cant lie I hope that van. gets hot this year. They may be my favorite west coast team with Linden and the swedish duo backed by argueably the best goalie in the league IMO.

Yashin is best off to go back to Russia. But where there is a stupid Agent, and A stupid Player you are bound to find a stupid GM and team. I wouldnt doubt that some moron things 3.5-4.5 would be a good deal for him and then be hanging there head in regret moments later!
