dang....2 days with no NHL and only MLB and NBA...:ohman:.....now i remember why i golf all summer and forget about sports....
what are the thoughts on the games today? I've got the following:
CAR/NJD.........CAR wins one of these games. I feel pretty safe in taking the road dog here in both games and doubling up in game2 if i have to.
WAS.............this is one team I do like in game1. Last year they were just happy to be here. This year not so. They are reportedly relaxed and ready to get it on. NYR are just a dismal road team and their PP is just as bad. I would be shocked unless Lundqvist stands on his head to see WAS lose game1 of this series.
PIT/PHI Over6. These 2 teams don't like each other and i would expect to see some penalties in this one. PP's should be flowing nicely especially in game1 when the refs will be out to establish the series. I think they tend to swallow their whistles more in the game6's and game7's as they don't want a call to decide a series. Game1 is always penatly filled. PHI has not been sound in their own end but they have been in the other team's end. I lean to PIT as a side play. Special teams alone i am guessing should be good for 3 goals in this one.
STL/VAN..............like the experience of VAN here in this series. Not sure i want to lay -180 but what i will most likely do is take them and then double up on them in game2 if they lose. If STL sweeps VAN at home who was 23-7-2 since February 1 then i am done capping the playoffs. And congrats to your stanley cup champion Blues.
PIT, VAN and WAS will all win at least 1 playoff game at home out of the first 2 IMO so a bet on the home team with a double up after a loss is the way to go at least for me. Also playing PIT Over.
