Love the new site, Kevin. She's a beauty, eh.
Penguins +101 (OT incl) vs Rangers
I'll take Crosby and the Pens as a dog, coming off 2 losses, but probably feeling good with some confidence after a good deadline day picking up Roberts and Laraque. Rangers did nothing but swap underachieving defenceman, and before last game's win over the hapless habs, they were playing like **** losing 4 of 5. They seem to miss Shanahan's leadership, and with him and Straka out, Jagr is almost alone up front. Penguins in a romp.
Islanders (-0.5) -128 vs Blues
What's not to like about this one...a perfect example of a buyer playing a seller after the deadline. Ilses should be pumped with Smyth joining them. Blues lost two of their top players in Guerin and Tkachuk to trades, as well as their starting goalie Legace to injury. Islanders have also been playing well winning 4 in a row, and 6 of 7. This team looks playoff bound, and needs a win like this tonight badly.
Oilers -117 (OT incl) vs Wild
Like the Oilers to show up tonight, after the emotional deadline day and the trading of Captain Canada Smyth. The fans are ready to revolt, but I have a feeling the team shows up tonight facing an opponent in a bad spot. Minny played an OT loss in Calgary last night and lost their backup goalie in the process (Minny was already w/o starter Fernandez). That means 3rd stringer, 22 year old greenhorn Josh Harding gets the start tonight. Oiler goalie, and former Wild, Roloson has a tidy 2.02 GAA this season when facing his former club. Time for these young Oilers to step up without Smyth, and the whole city down on them.
