i really think the whole reason he pled out was so he could get to the hole in time to make camp and compete for the starting job on the mean machine.

Seriously though...he pled guilty to help his options in returning to the nfl after his term. His lawyers probably told him that it is the first in a process of showing remorse over the next couple of years, which an owner would need to show tyo his city and fans to have any chance of signing him without a major backlash...and it also keeps alot of the gruesome details out of the press...which would hurt his chances of ever playing again as well.

I guess you can tell by my post I didn't read the whole thread. The only realistic scenario is the last one. The other selections are not valid. If he is accused of gambling, he will never play again I E Pete Rose. He will be banned for life. Thats just the way it works. If its fun, do itComment

My guess is he gets the 18 months (hopefully minimum with this hard-ass judge who is perfect for haters like us who think Vick deserves endless jail time). Whenever he gets out of jail, he will have to serve a minimum 1 year suspension from the NFL one would think. So if he goes to jail say by the new year, then under the least possible sanctions and penalties he will be back in the NFl (maybe) by 2010. There's no ******* way he will ever play QB again, so if he comes back he will be a WR or a RB, IMHO.
Hopefully, he gets 2+ years jail time and then the NFL suspension and we never hear from his scumbag self again.
Lock him up!Comment

"I think it's tough," Marbury said, according to Albany TV station Capital News 9. "I think, you know, we don't say anything about people who shoot deer or shoot other animals. You know, from what I hear, dogfighting is a sport. It's just behind closed doors."
LMAO
"from what I hear"
thats what I said to my mom when I was 16.

Kinda like the Pete Rose gig. They are focusing more on the Gambling aspect of it as far as him playing again than any other aspect. Pete did'nt gamble in Vegas. But he gambled. Thats the clincher if that comes up as one of his charges. If he pleades to the gambling part, he may very well not play again ever. The NAACP is now getting involed and they can not save him when it comes to the gambling part. If he pleads to gambling, and they have not yet proclaimed what he is pleading to, but if he pleads to gambling, he's done. Time will tellIf its fun, do itComment
