Last week: 2-5, -11.8 units
YTD: 16-20-2, -21.8 units
Have not gotten on a roll lately. Feel like my capping is there this year and for a lot of my losses, they've looked good for 3+ quarters, but alas...
Early games:
Jacksonville +9.5 vs San Diego: West Coast teams going to the East Coast cover the spread at something just under 30 percent historically. I know I said I will not bet on bad teams, and certainly Jacksonville is one of those teams, but this bet at least warrants a look on principle (just as last week's did by the huge spread).
Cincinnati +2.5 @ Detroit: Everyone seemingly in love with Detroit here even with Megatron iffy lately. Yes he's practiced this week and is good to go, but why no Cincy love here? Do you think Detroit's secondary can cover AJ Green or get enough pressure on Dalton? I am not so sure.
Buffalo Bills +8 @ Miami: As Udog said, the loss of Ellerbe for Miami is going to be huge this game. And with Gilmore getting more and more in playing shape, the Bills might have a chance to stay within this number. This should be a high-scoring game, something like 31-27.
Tampa Bay +7 @ Atlanta: A typical tight NFC South game. Atlanta without White now, and Jones obv on IR. Road start for Glennon vs a banged up ATL team that is really struggling to find their identity on offense without their big guns? Seems like a dirty dirty ball game with Tampa's WRs showcasing the speed on the turf. Hoping to see Doug Martin have a nice day to relieve the pressure from Glennon's start.
Other thoughts:
Pats only -3.5 faves at NYJ? Hangover from huge win vs Saints?
KC under a TD at home vs Texans and a rookie QB? Can KC's defense make Arian Foster beat them?
Bears/Skins only a pick-em? Thought Bears would be favored so I assume linesmakers have no faith in Cutler (why would they?)
Eagles/Cowboys: ever since that disheartening loss vs the Broncos, has everyone fallen off the radar? I think Joseph Randle is an adequate enough backup, and the Cowboys defensive depth was showcased on SNF. Can they get to Foles?
Rams/Panthers: Don't think Cam deserves being a nearly one-TD favorite over anyone here.. Rams ML?
