Hello everyone, I've been checking this site out for months now, love the forums and wanted to start getting involved. Few questions. When you guys say a unit, how much does that equal? Thanks and I'll be back later to post a few NCAA ball picks. Hit Seattle last night -9.5... Bet 50 to win 45.. This year I'm just up 195.. I'll start keeping track from now on, day by day

Welcome to the forum!
We just lost a beloved old timer to the heavens above so maybe there's a reason you're showing up now.
A unit is one's normal bet size. For a guy with a smaller bankroll, that may be ten dollars. For a big bettor it may be one hundred dollars. For a high roller it may be a dime (1k).
With that being said, you noted that you bet 50 dollars to win 45 on sea last night so your unit would be 50 bucks.
Nobody here cares about who bets how much. A unit is just a general notation of a bet. A 2 unit play be be stronger. A 3 unit play may be very strong.
It's highly recommended that a person only play one unit per game, per the unspoken rules of money management.Delivering previews and picks to your computer 365/days a year! -
