Early games:
Indianapolis Colts -1
Philadelphia Eagles -2
JAX/CIN u39
Tennessee Titans +3
New York Giants -9.5
All for four units.
Couple of thoughts here: This is Painter's job to lose, as another member put it, and being at home to a team off it's first win over the lowly (albeit unimpressive) Vikings will motivate Curtis and his home crowd to get it done. Indianapolis's offense didn't do a whole lot outside those two longer plays, but KC's secondary is suspect and susceptible to those longer pass plays. Look for spreading it out early to avoid the talent up the middle for KC's def, and then come back with draws later in the game. Like Dallas Clark to have a big day today.
Everyone ready to give up on the "dream team," and piggyback on the Bills. Both teams talented, but time for Philly's defense to put up or shut up. No Trent Cole is a huge loss for them. Like the individual talent on the team, and one of these games they'll put it together. Bills don't create much of a pass rush and are weak on the back-end... not a good combo vs the Eagles and the mobility and scrambling with good WRs. Short line, I believe.
Jacksonville vs a rookie QB in Dalton. He has been serviceable, but not impressive. Jacksonville will give the ball to MJD, but Cincy's defense has been stout and well vs the run. Offensively there aren't too many playmakers outside of MJD and Mike Thomas... Marcedes Lewis getting some looks last week, maybe gets a few more this week. Benson and Green/maybe Simpson the decent playmakers on Cincy's squad. Not much there. Two decent defenses able to generate a pass-rush makes for an ugly game.
Tennessee line is weird. They're defense is playing well. Offense was capable last week getting a huge gain from Jared Cook after Britt goes on IR, and CJ2K finally goes for 100+. Steelers rush def isn't what it's used to be in the last decade, giving up yards, and messed up. Casey Hampton and Aaron Smith will be out, and it appears Tomlin's squad doesn't have it to start this season. Mendenhall out as well, Redman gets the start, and I'll bet you see Mewelde Moore as well.. Tennessee has already won SU as dogs this year and won on the road as a 1pt dog at Cleveland.
Seattle travels to the east coast for an early game to a team who's rolling. Eli Manning is rolling this season with a rating over 105 with 8 TDs to only 2 INTs. New York has gotten a rejuvenated Brandon Jacobs to settle back into that one-two punch to keep the pressure off of Eli. Like what I'm seeing out of that team in a weak NFC East.. Seattle will be without Mike Williams, who doesn't seem to have the rapport with Tarvaris Jackson as he did with Matt Hasselbeck last year, only totaling 5 receptions so far this year... means Ben Obamanu will start with Golden Tate getting more looks at WR. Zach Miller won't be 100 percent, but he'll play. Seattle was able to move the ball through the air vs Atlanta's weak secondary, but only after they were down 27-7 and had largely abandoned the run... Marshawn Lynch led the team with eight carries.
Best of luck fellas. Hoping for a good beginning so I don't have to add during the late games... however, like the 49ers in first half as Gore is back from the ankle injury and TB starts slow always! Packers to clean up in Atlanta as well, probably another first half...
