Boiler - the Seahags blow, and Pittsburgh was going to lay it on whatever bottom feeder they played today after that embarrassment last week at Baltimore. It just so happened that it was Seattle, who it seems lots of people are thinking are better than they probably are right now, probably remembering that playoff win vs New Orleans last year. T Jackson really sucks anus, too. Why anyone would pick him up is beyond me....

Daws, i know it's early in the year but i didn't like what I saw from Philly in the preseason against the Steelers. They were manhandled in the running game and I think Atlanta will be able to do some controlling of the game the same way.

I just feel the Eagles are overhyped and untested. Maybe they fixed the inability to stop the run, and maybe they are as good as people are saying, i don't know, but I do know the Rams are probably a .500 team at best, even in the **** NFC West. Beating them doesn't prove much to me, and like I said, the one team in preseason I did watch them play that was decent and physical, moved the ball at will on their D.

Every analyst on TV thinks the game is a joke too, and the Eagles will win in a walk after the way Atlanta played last week, but everyone is entitled to 1 bad game. Atlanta is still a good team, and nearly unbeatable at home since Ryan has become the QB.

One more thing, a strong trend play is to always fade a team who wins and covers as a road fave and is a road fave again the next week.

Do I expect an Atlanta blowout? Hell no....but I do believe the line is in their favor, big time. They (Atlanta) should be -3, imho, and I'd probably play them at that price as well, just not as large, and i'll take a very good team as a home dog pretty much every time when the majority seems to think they don't have much of a shot.

I've been wrong before, and I do realize Atlanta has struggled with Philly over the years, for whatever reason. Maybe the Eagles are the New Patriots that just cover every line the books throw up there week after week, but i'll believe it when I see it (that Patriots team was a massive exception to the norm), and I'm going with the Falcons tonight in their home opener and my instinct that that line is off due to Philly hype and the massive ass kicking the Falcons took in Chicago last week.
