Been busy all week so I wasn't able to put these in. But I'll list them here for record keeping.
Plays:
LA Chargers -7.5 vs. Jacksonville - Historically, since the Rivers days, the Chargers have had their way with Jacksonville. The coach is already talking benching Minshew. He's a fun, polarizing figure, but sometimes he's just inept. I think this is one those weeks that reminds you that while Minshew has shown many flashes of brilliance, he's not a franchise QB. Chargers in a rout, and the run game pours on at the end of the game. This would be my pick of the week.
Leans:
Dallas -1 vs. Washington - As bad as Dallas looked on Monday night, Dalton is better than that. And if you've watched football for the past decade you're know that. Washington got their cover last week. I believe it's going to be wet and rainy today though, and Washington's strength is the defensive line. So based on that analysis, Washington should be the lean, but I like Dallas in a bounce back. Washington is a clusterF even with Rivera. Haskins just got fined for having family over to the team hotel and breaking COVID protocal. Knucklehead.
NY Jets +10 vs. Buffalo - Kind of a system play here. Line should be higher, and Darnold has games when he looks okay once in a while.
Raiders +4 vs. Tampa Bay - I've been noticing that teams with COVID outbreaks actually do pretty well. So I'll take the Raiders who had their entire offensive line in quarantine the past 3 days, vs. Tampa Bay who rocked Green Bay on national TV last week.
New England -3 vs. San Fran - This line is dropping, but I guess I will continue to bet the Patriots this season, even though this is clearly not the Tom Brady led Patriots of the past 2 decades.
LA Rams -6 vs. Chicago. I've been betting against the rams that last few weeks because they play down to their competition. Well Chicago has a good team and they tend to step it up when they need to.
Carolina +7 at New Orleans - You bet on Bridgewater for a whole season, I think you come out ahead. I like the spot. I think this is a down year for New Orleans before Brees officially retires at the end. Dunno what the heck is going on with Michael Thomas.
