Simply put, it's a BUSINESS.....just like the NBA! It's all TV, pretty packaging, etc. and like big time wrestling they go out and try to put on a good show. The horrible officiating comes about because those guys----the refs----are too inconsistent and the only players they protect are the beauty stars of the league. You can't have those guys get hurt or flagged, they're the drawing cards. We always hold out hope that the NFL will return to its "glory days" but they are gone forever. I expect that sometime the NFL will be pay-per-view/stream whatever so they can capture more $$$.
