    Daws1089's Week 14 Plays

    ytd:25-30-1 -21.2 units

    Colts -4

    1 unit

treading lightly, but i think colts put together a great gameplan tonight. after their struggles recently they are still favored on the road. Some may say that is to try ang get people to chase and make the money back they have been losing on the colts. Some will say its the peyton factor, but I think this is spot where people will try to fade the colts after backing them the past few games. Its a good spot to jump on them. If they win I will jump off quickly because I am liking JAX in the next matchup, but ill take a chance with peyton against an offensively challeneged group in tennessee.

I agree Daws - here are some of my thoughts that I had discussed w/a buddy during work:

    Why the Colts could win:

    · must-win game

    · Peyton is too good of a QB to continue to struggle

    · despite being 8th in total pts allowed, Titans D is in the bottom third in the league in total defense & even w/half their skill players dead, Colts should still move the ball & Peyton obv more efficient than previous QB’s to face Tennessee like Schaub, Garrard, & McNabb

    · as bad as the Colts D is, no way Titans offense can keep up w/Indy offense

    Why the Titans could win:

    · at home = no crowd noise from dome

    · CJ is due to break out and Colts are awful against the run

    · D-Line has struggled to generate pressure as of late (partly due to being on the field so much w/all the 3-and-outs from Collins and Rusty nail) but Indy is playing musical chairs w/their G’s since they’re all terrible (have yet to find replacements for Scott & Lilja)

Pick: in order for Tennessee to pull this one out, they are going to need, IMO, at least 3 big plays (TDs from defense, special teams (Mariani punt return?), & long CJ runs. Expect 8-9 in the box from Indy to force Collins to beat them (besides having to worry about Freeney and Mathis killing him), which he can’t, meaning it could be a long night for the Titans. Who can reach the 24-28 point range first? Indianapolis – can Tennessee even reach double digits without fluke plays?

As bad as the Colts D is which should translate to a great game by CJ, I just don't see how the Titans can keep up on the scoreboard outside of the aforementioned big, "fluky" plays
