I was talking to a good friend of mine (HUGE steeler fan) this week and was telling him how his boys have made me some cash both weeks this year. (This is news between us because I''m an old Houston Oiler fan from back in the day. translation: I grew up hating Pitt. lol) When he and I spoke the line was 2.5 and I was telling him I might take the TB ML and of course he strongly disagreed. I said basically that the line had me puzzled a bit. Pit was only giving 2.5 after beating the titans who were favored by 6? Hell, the Bucs were getting 3.5 against the lowly Panthers last week! Yes, TB has won both games but they were against Cle and the aforementioned Panthers. Pitt beat better teams in Atl and Tenn and though they're down to their fourth QB ,imo, its their Defense that wins their games. Not to mention but they're also a public team so why so low on this weeks spread? At the time I was gonna stay away but gun to my head I told him I'd take the 2.5. Actually at the time I told him the smarter play would be to take TB ML since the odds are in youre favor that if TB covers the 2.5 points its likely they'll do so by 3 or more rather than lose by just 1 or 2. Then this morning I saw the 3 and then got 4 before kickoff and jumped.
It looks like a good game so far.
