LOL yea i'm sure Peyton is thrilled about facing the team who is #1 in just about every major defensive category over the one who is ranked in like the 20's

          Gotta love it...still no respect.

Not that I am a jets fan or anything, but I called in on the Dan Patrick Show the monday after they beat Cincy and told Dan that the jets are gonna be dangerous in the playoffs and would BEAT San Diego...then Mclovin hopped on my bandwagon. (I am Rameen from Orlando if anyone watches/listens and remembers)

But I see this being a great AFC title game...this D'fense is pulling through. But yes, Peyton can pick apart any blitz and it will be very interesting.

Payton Manning has a week to pick apart this defense. Jets gotta find a way to put points on the board also. This match-up will be interesting...

SD won 11 games in a row. They were due to lose. Peyton Manning didn't win last game easily, Baltimore coundn't move the ball so they lost. Indi has more chance to win this game than the Jets but I wouldn't lay the pts, thinking under.

                Based on what?

The Colts were 3-5 at home ATS if they had to give 7.5 pts.

As Stif said, Jets have a great defense....possibly the best in the NFL.

7.5 is not easy to swallow, but I would feel a lot more comfortable playing the Colts.
Just hoping Jets backers push it down to 7, then I'm on it.

Colts aren't going to get picked left and right. They aren't going to miss 3 field goals. They are going to move the ball like they always do.

I agree, the Jets are going to be a much easier team to beat than the Chargers.

I can't believe the general consensus here seems to be that yesterday was a fluke and SD is still a better overall team than the Jets, and "harder to beat". Just not true.

SD has a better offense than the Jets, yes, but that doesn't make them a better team and it certainly doesn't make them harder to beat. They won 11 in a row more or less because they really weren't playing anyone. A seasons worth of stats says their D really isn't that impressive and they can't run the ball, even against weaker competition. They were able to win with their one dimensional pass happy offense against lesser competition, but when they faced a top D, their deficiencies showed.

I hate to go to the well with old sayings, but two if them couldn't have been more true yesterday, the public loves offense and always overvalues it, and defense wins championships.

The Colts played good defense too this weekend. As did the Saints. As did the Vikings. And I suspect that the teams that win next weekend will perform well on defense too. How often do you see a 41-38 championship game where neither defense can stop the other team and it's won by which ever team is lucky enough to have the last possession?

Well said Stifler's Mom. I'd also like to remind everyone that the score of the NYJ/IND game before the starters were pulled was 15-10 colts. Not really a blowout if you ask me? That game was in IND also so no excuses.

I watched that game start to finish, and I can tell you that had the Colts not pulled their starters, Jets were not going to win.

                              What's more probable?

The Jets defense keeping Peyton under 20 AND the Jets scoring 14+

                              or

The Colts just having a field day in Indy racking 35+

I'll sleep a lot better knowing my money is on Indy. I rode the Jets this far, and I'm jumping ship now. Too early? I think it's just about right...
