Jets D hasn't given up 35 all year.

I'll tell you one thing, Indy sure as heck squeaked by alot of times this year, and I really don't see why they should all of a sudden blow out a team like the Jets who just hangs around, frustrates teams into mistakes (and i don't even wanna hear Peyton can't make mistakes....he's great, but he's not GOD), and starts imposing their will in the 4th qtr with the rushing game.

I said it last week vs SD, and I'll say it again....I don't see why anyone would want to lay over a TD against this Jets team right now, I really don't.

If someone could give me some valid reasons, other than the awesomeness of Peyton Manning, honestly, I'm all ears....

Well Stif, I watched this Colts team with my own eyes and it's just not happening. Nope. That's why lol.

I think some people in this thread are miscontruing what you're saying. I do think the Jets can win, but I think you were just inferring that you liked them with the 7.5. You didn't even get into the straight up thing. The Jets could very well lose this game, but getting more than a touchdown makes it hard on INDY. This could go back to your call when INDY played JAX where the colts could be down by 3 or 4 or maybe its tied and Peyton leads them back for a win. In all of those scenarios its a colts loss ats. Like many have pointed out in this section of the forum, playing against Sanchez is simply not a good enough reason to take INDY. SD had some success in the passing game with Jackson and Gates, but NYJ quickly put that fire out. The Jets weren't even really getting much pressure on Rivers and they still forced mistakes. I know I know, Peyton is much better than Rivers, but Peyton gets happy feet sometimes, especially against 3-4 defenses.

Another thing, the Colts are going to need to muster a lot more than 43 yards on 23 carries if they plan on beating the Jets. We've seen it every week, where the teams playing the Jets have become one dimensional and it's gotten them no where.

Also, aside from 2006, the colts have been one of the biggest frauds in the playoffs. I know years past don't much matter to this year, but time and time again in games the colts should have won they didn't and lost to teams that many people didn't think belong in the next round.

Aside from being at home, I'd really like to hear more form Colts backers. If you can convince me I will gladly change sides in this game.

7.5 is heavy, but 7 I don't mind. I shouldn't let the half point scare me so much, but I'm still waiting to see if it goes down. True, they have had some really close games this year. Maybe you guys are right. Maybe I will play the Jets at +7.5, but as of right now my mind is set on Indy.

          Hard to say until Saturday.

I think the jets are kind of like the Ravens, only with better coaching, better D and slightly better run game. It's not likke Indy blew the Ravens out of the water, and Peyton is fallable guys. 4 turnovers in a playoff game (Ravens) and you can't cover let alone win. I think the Jets are dangerous here. You know Indy won't be killing them on the ground, and the Jets are well coached enough to know that they just need to hang around and make a couple plays when given the opportunity. Shonn Greene is playing llike an animal in the playoffs...

Yes, I'm sorry if I misled anyone. I was saying I think that with the +7.5 the Jets looked to me like the play on the surface, assuming both teams play a pretty solid game. Last week at SD I really liked the Jets to win SU, and probably should have bet the ml too, but didn't. My loss.

Indy is very capable and like with every game, with a few breaks in their favor could win this game by 20 points.....as easily as with a few breaks in the Jets favor they could win it outright by a comfortable margin.

The thing I've seen all year from the Colts is that they are good, but really aren't great. Peyton Manning is that great however, and he gets done what needs to be done to get the win. That won't cover the +7.5 though.

Betting against Mark Sanchez this point seems a little bit ridiculous though, doesn't it? Where has it gotten anyone who has tried that theory so far this postseason except L's? The theory of betting against a rookie QB in the playoffs, or on the road in the playoffs, or whatever the actual theory may be is a great one, provided that QB needs to go more than make a few dump offs on screens or make some throws off play action to basically what amounts to wide open receivers because opposing defenses are overplaying the run. I don't see the point against Sanchez, since the Jets will be looking to win with running and defense, and just letting Sanchez do his thing, which he has looked just fine doing so far, and I'm not sure the Indy defense is the one to change that.

Now if the Jets fall behind by 2+ scores and have to start throwing, with Freeney and the rest of that pass rush the Colts have, that could definitely spell big trouble for the Jets....and of course that would be my main concern backing the Jets here....but the Jets have pretty much shown they won't abandon the run.

As the saying goes... Defense wins Super Bowls. The Jets are RED HOT right now too. Should be a GREAT game!
