Hey all,
Just thought that a thread for tonight's game might be useful for anyone capping what should be an interesting matchup.
Obviously the big story here is the fact that Big Ben isn't playing. As such, the line has jumped everywhere. I've seen everywhere between 7.5 and 9 while the total seems to be hanging around 34.
Questions abound:
- How much of a difference will the QB change make - is the rush to play Baltimore an overreaction?
- Can Dixon do enough to keep Pitt in this game? Pitt will likely go much heavier on the run and keep things simple for DD.
- Is the chance to play against a green QB exactly what this Baltimore defense needs, as they've struggled a lot this year?
- Pitt seems to play a lot of low-scoring "underish" games, but is 34 really the right number?
- Good bounceback opportunity for the Steelers after last week's debacle in KC. Or have their flaws been found?
Right now, I'm leaning to Pittsburgh +9 and over 34. I think that even with double-D at QB, Pitt is still too good to be getting 9 points on anyone and this divisional game still has the chance to be a real banger.
Like to hear others' thoughts on this one. GL to all!
