Big homer spot for me, I think Tennessee is the right play though. These teams almost always play high scoring close games. I think Houston has a lot more pressure on them, Titans have the momentum and nothing to lose. Houston very much in the playoff hunt while the Titans are nothing but an extreme longshot, we have NO chance if we lose this game. CJ + VY has revitalized the Titans. Look for CJ to get at least 25 touches, if he can have anything close to the game he had last time against the Texans we have a great chance.
Containing Schaub's passing game, and especially Andre (the other) Johnson, will likely be the key. Titans defense is playing a lot better, still giving up yards but forcing TO's and making the big plays when it counts. Having our starters back sure helps there. It's very hard to beat any team twice in the same season. I always love playing the Titans as a dog, they do much better that way and there's even the off chance that they can lose but I still win the bet. Here are some trends I found:
# History: Titans have won 11 of the 15 meetings (Texans won the last 2).
# Titans are 19-11 ATS as underdogs in the post-Steve McNair era.
# Vince Young is 21-11 as a starter (21-11 ATS).
# Vince Young is 8-3 ATS as a road dog.
# Texans are 8-5 ATS in November home games.
I have doubled this play from my originally posted 1 unit bet in my week 11 thread. Setting myself up for bitter defeat or sweet victory!
Titans +4 2 units W +2
Parlay: Titans +180 / OVER 48.5 0.5 to win 2.17 units L -0.5
Good luck to whatever you play but I really hope you're rooting for the Titans!! :beerbang:
