    Maxx's Week 4 NFL Plays

All plays at -110 to win 1 unit unless otherwise noted.

    CIN @ CLE +6.5
I'm being the contrarion here. Everyone is on the Bengals and to me that is exactly the time to not be on the Bengals. They still have a lot of knuckleheads on that team and I just don't trust them to come out focused in a game in a road game everyone expects them to win easily. If CIN wins big... everyone can tell me I told you so... but I'm not quite a believer in them yet.

    TEN -3.5 @ JAX
If not now Tennessee, when? Jeff Fisher vs Jack Del Rio makes this pick easier to stomach.

    BAL @ NE -2
NE passed last week's test agasint the young up and coming QB. I think BAL provides a much stiffer test than ATL, but I like the fact NE has seen a glimpse of what BAL will want to do when the played the Jets... this is kind of like the second game for NE and they get to make adjustments already while BAL doesn't.

    SEA +10 @ IND
I expect Jim Mora to come out with wildcat type offense using Seneca Wallace and try to ball control. The Colts offense has been slow starting and they've not been great at home. All the travel has to catch up with them eventually too. I look for a flat Indy start and SEA to use the running to control clock and posessions. Either that or Peyton comes out blazing and the Colts lead 17-0 after the 1st quarter.... I'll take my chances on the former.

    7 PT Teaser
Risk 1 unit to win 1.4 units
    NYG -2
    CHI -3
    SF -2.5

I can't pick all these to cover, but will be shocked if they lose.

Hopefully I'll have some money left to play the later games!!

I don't play many halftime lines, and I hate compounding a mistake with a mistake, but adding:

    2nd Half TEN -3 (-125)

Instead of trying to cancel a stupid play, I should've just admitted a horrible call and moved on with the TEN game... sweating out the 4th of that crapfest. Also, I'm going to make it a rule that I don't post picks on the Colts. My fan bias forces me to put a reverse jinx on them and I always go against them. If I had been thinking clearly, I would've seen crappy NFC West team with backup QB playing out east in a 1PM start against one of the top 5 teams in the league. No way I back SEA in that spot if they are playing anyone but the Colts. Outside of those 2 stinkers, we'll see what happnens in the others. Here are the late game calls (hopefully thinking much more clearly now)

      BUF @ MIA -1.5
Does anyone have a clue what MIA will look like on offense today. The unknown be to their advantage and hopefully BUF is distracted by South Beach.

      NYJ @ NO -7.5
I have called New Orleans the new version of the old Colts. The Colts have performed well against Rex Ryan defenses in the past when he was at the Ravens... I'm banking on NO to continue that and perhaps a Sanchez step back... especially if they fall behind.

      DAL @ DEN +3 (-125)
I'm with everyone else here. Heavy juice but I can't back DAL in this spot.

Been on the fence about the night game for most of the day until it hit me...

Chargers are without Nick Hardwick and without Jamal Williams, that significantly softens up the middle on both sides of the ball... not a good thing facing the Steelers.

Norv Turner vs Mike Tomlin.... that speaks for itself.

It's a scary line where just about anything could happen, but after a pretty decent day I'll go with my gut and take:

        PIT -5.5

Hesitant to even make a guess as to what could happen tonight. Honestly, I feel like Minnesota could win this in a blowout... but part of me wonders if Favre will try to be too much like the old Favre and he throws a couple picks to keep the Packers in it. Plus, since there's going to be a gajillion people watching tonight the NFL surely wants a close game. So I'm going with:

          6 point teaser: GB +10.5/Over 40 (-110 to win 1 unit)

I was thinking of making that same teaser tonight, BOL, for me I'll either put a small wager on that or tonight will be a no-play for me
