First Vick signs with the Eagles, and now Favre comes out of retirement for the 94th time sign with Minny? What is this? Pro wrestling? Is he now going to be referred to as "Nature Boy"? C'mon Brett, can I get a "Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo"?
And how many people questioned Buffalo bringing in Owens and thought that was just such a stupid move for the Bills?? At least T.O. can still play at a top level, which Favre has proven he cannot and Vick remains to be seen after being out the league for a few years, although he never could anyway other than his running ability, which the turds tried to STOP him from doing....which we all see how well that's working with Vince Young too.....and he has never been arrested for heinous premeditated cruel crimes like ass clown Vick.
And plus, people wanna talk about the distractions that come with T.O.? Both of these dillholes will bring more distractions on and off the field than Owens will. Turns out tough guy Favre and his Wrangler jeans and his John Deere tractor is more of a primadonna and attention whore than Owens. Imagine that.
And what's Favre's career record in domes? It's NOT good. Relevant stat or not remains to be seen, but now his home stadium will be one, lol
I used to respect him and enjoy watching the "magic" (for lack of a better term) he could produce on the football field. Now I just think he's a peon.
Why all the hate for Favre? He is human and can change his mind as many times as he wants. Christ, if I retired a bunch of times and still got an offer for 10 mill, I'd change my mind too.
Isn't anyone here married? I deal with this **** on a daily basis.
Favre is like the GF that wouldn't commit to her BF, so he moved on and started dating again, only the GF after seeing the BF move on, decided to take him back, so toyed with his emotions, then when it was clear the BF didn't want anything to do with her, she decided to tell the world he has a small dick, and then she started going out with a distant cousin of his (in this case the NY Jets), because he already told his family/close friends/eligible bachelors (in this case the NFC North) that she has crabs.
well a year passed, and the distant cousin and GF amicably parted ways, and with the GF being an attention whore decided not only to bang someone close to the BF, but someone that if she hooked up with, would really really piss off the BF.
thats right folks, she hooked up with an ex-GF of his, so in being a *******, she sticks it two him 2x, sexually and emotionally and arrogantly flaunting her contender status (in this case, a playoff-ready Vikings team)
Enjoy the ******* love sportsfans!
BTW I think Vick would have been perfect for the Vikings. He's the QB Tavaris Jackson could never be, and even though he's a worse passer than Sage Rosenfels, if he can approach what he did in Atlanta, he is what the Vikings need.
perfect fit: stout D, great ground game, just need Vick not to turn the ball over. and he is familiar with West Coast O. Not mastered it, mind you but I think enough where he's not that far behind the curve.
Stif...why all the hate for Vick as a qb with the falcons?? Yes, Matt Ryan will change this statement, but he was the best qb the falcons ever had...yeah i said it..lol..took a bunch of subpar players to the freakin nfc championship...u saw what happened to almost that same exact team when he wasnt there...yes he wasn't a great throwing qb, but check this out....
Player1 Stats vs Player2 Stats (career stats)
comp %
Player1: 55.9%
Player2: 53.8%
td/int
Player1: 98/74
Player2: 71/52
qb rating
player1: 76.1
player2: 75.7
don't have the winning % in front of me, but it's very close....
oh yeah and player 2 also rushed for on avg about 53 yds per game...
Player1 is the highest paid qb in the league.....and player2 is Vick...these are career numbers for Eli and Vick.....not saying these are great number by any means, but they are def alteast average passing career numbers...wouldnt you say eli is about an avg nfl qb? Now add the running dimension of Vick to that....you're telling me he wasn't in the top half of the qbs in the league?? yes what he did was horrible, but thats done with...he did his time....ppl should get a 2nd chance...if he fcks up again like that..ban him for life...but for now i'll take his words that he's humbled and has learned from his mistakes...anyway...back to football....
all this is leading me to Q's comment....yeah, it took me a while to get there...lol..
vick on the vikings would be a much better fit than farve...remember the falcons with west coast offense, with a below avg D, with a below avg offensive line, with warrick dunn and tj fckn duckett leading the league in rushing and going to the nfc championship.....now give him the best running back in the league, in a similar offense, a great O line, a great D...damn...that would have been a much better fit for the vikes than a 40 yr old qb who broke down last year towards the end of last year, and who'd know to be a diva...yes a bigger diva than vick...the vikes go the playoffs with jackson as their qb last year who isn't 1/2 the qb that vick was...now vick prob isn't the qb right away that he was...but his skill set was not based on timing, but athleticism, and i believe he's still very close to the athelete he was....having said that...for Vick's future....the Eagles are a great fit...great organization. from top to bottom, and i believe he'll be starting somewhere next year (if not in philly)...
ok...just so nobody gets this the wrong way....i really enjoyed watching vick as a falcon, was one of my favorite players on the field....but i believe Matt Ryan's going to bring a championhip to Atlanta and wouldn't trade him for any qb in the league right now not named brady or manning (peyton)...
sorry for the rant...but really agreed with Q's assesment of Vick being a fit for the Vikings.....
