First Harry Kalas dies now John Madden retires.

I am not having a good week.

That's 2 of my favorite 3 announcers GONE all in a week's time. Mel Allen from this week in baseball was an all-time fav too, but he's long gone.

Long live Mariner voice Dave Niehaus!

I guess I could bump Howard David up on my list a bit.

yeah, Joe Nuxhall was a big loss for reds fans last year. Lot of long long time guys retiring or vacating the planet unfortunately.

Some of my favorites were always Lindsey Nelson doing Notre Dame games, Nuxy and Brennaman with the Reds, Madden, Chick Hearn for sure....that guy was the only reason i ever followed the NBA when i did, Keith Jackson........Mel Allen was great too if that's the guy im thinking of from This Week in Baseball wayyyyy back in the day (great theme music too.....:beerbang: ), bob miller for the kings has been around for about 30 years.....

I will tell you one guy that can't retire soon enough and that is the clown that does the Sabres games....he is so annoying.
