    Sunday week 16

    Detroit Lionesses +7 (-105)

Aints are so good on the road....why not have them lay 7 pts? Plus they're eliminated and have no real reason to play all out. At least the Lionesses are trying to avoid 0-16 embarrassment. If they're going to win one, today looks like a prime opportunity.

    Tennessee Titans +2.5 (+105)

Not understanding this line movement. I assume it's because of the Tennessee injuries? I just cannot imagine big sharp money coming in on the Steelers here, and i doubt the books give a crap who the public likes, even though they are strongly behind Pittsburgh here.

I think Pittsburgh is the better team, but I feel like Tennessee is in a real strong situation today, while I cannot really say the same for Pittsburgh. The Steelers are on a winning streak over some pretty decent competition, while Tennessee has stumbled recently. I feel like I'm getting a really good line due to these things, on a well coached team with something to prove.

    KC Chiefs +4

Too much pressure for the Dolphins here, imo. Often times when one team is "alive" and "must win", a) you get line value on the one who is eliminated, and b) the one who is "alive" plays too tight and crumbles under the pressure.

This game seems to be a prime candidate for such things, as the entire reason the Dolphins are even in contention is because they have committed an NFL RECORD of just 10 turnovers thru 14 games. If the pressure sets in and the mistakes start, this team is not good enough to overcome them....

    Cleveland Browns -3 (+100)

This play falls into the same system play as the feeble Dolphins did last week, in which they failed to cover by 1 point against the mighty 49ers. Hoping for better results from the Browns.

    Seattle Seachickens +4 (-120)

Lets make it 0-4 for the Jets when traveling West. Oakland, SF and SD took them down, why not Seattle? The Jets blew their load when they beat Tennessee, and have sucked ever since. They wouldn't even be in a position for this game to seriously matter today had they not been given a gift wrapped win from Buffalo last week.

    Buffalo Bills +6

Denver has such a good ATS record at home, I might as well try to cash in against them again. When SD loses to TB (not sure why I can't pull the trigger on TB yet....i guess it looks TOO easy), they will have the division already won too, despite their spiffy 8-6 record. Wow, do the AFC West and NFC West teams really suck.

    Philadelphia Eagles -5

Eagles are rolling, and Washington is heading nowhere but the toilet bowl. I used pick the winner, and ended up picking the Eagles. This game shouldn't even fall into pick the winner, but the Eagles are still not getting much respect (imo), and Washington is overvalued (imo). Eagles should be about -8 here if you ask me. Then again, i've been wrong before...

    Oakland Raiderettes +7 (+100)

See paragraph one of the KC/Miami write up.

Oakland is 1 player (a QB) short of being a .500 team imho, and they have played many teams tough this year.

    2 units each

    Detroit Lionesses ml +250
    Tennessee Titans ml +125
    KC Chiefs ml +170
    Seattle Seachickens ml +170
    Buffalo Bills ml +220
    Oakland Raiderettes ml +265

    1 unit each

stif, do you think carolina wins tonight? NYG haven't been showing us much over the last few weeks, but books still bring them out as a fav? I know Carolina hasnt been as good on the road this season (3-3), but given what is on the line in tonights game, are the books taking a stand on NYG?

LOL, i forgot to note that TB blows even more....

And WTF is up with the system play? Can't ever remember it going 0-2 in any given season before, but I guess when your plays are Miami and Cleveland as faves.....lol :puke:

As far as tonight's game, I personally think NYG are the better team, and are due to pound CAR tonight. I know NYG has slacked a bit lately, but I think they bounce back tonight when it matters and I haven't really changed my mind on Carolina since I said they sucked earlier in the season. I still think they are the weakest 11-3 team I have ever seen, and unless the Giants really have regressed as far as they looked on offense @ Dallas, they are going to win going away tonight. I just refuse to believe that O-line and running game all of a sudden disappeared in 2 weeks time.

As far as the line, given the recent events of each of these teams, I think the line was about right at opening of -3. Action is about split according to my numbers, so i think it was probably sharp money that pushed it to NYG -3.5, a line which seems to be asking for Carolina money now. +3.5 is a line i really to try to stay away from, just like -2.5. Books know people will play the -2.5 or +3.5 simply because they are getting (or giving up) the hook off the 3, but rarely will it matter.

I mean Carolina beating down TB looked ok, until now when horrid and overrated 6-8 SD is taking it to them this afternoon. Now that's just another victory over another crap team, which is pretty much the story of their whole season, imho.

I think we will find out what both of these teams are made of tonight, and I think the Giants are the better team, and will pull it together and prove it tonight....only to get ousted by Philly once the playoffs roll around. I stick by what I said a week or two ago....if Philly gets in, they're going to the super bowl

not sure the KC game qualifies as a bad beat, but it sure is a tough one to take when they were covering for 57 minutes and let MIA go 85 yards on that last drive. But then again, that's KC's M.O so you can't be surprised. I thought KC +4 and TEN were the 2 best plays this week, along with the Sea Chickens. How classic are the Jets going to the West Coast. I think they scored like 6 points in 4 trips out here this year.....nice work on the ML's today...

Yea, I don't know that the Chiefs loss qualifies as a bad beat since nothing extraordinarily weird happened, but it certainly does qualify as something that sucks :bang:

It's nice when a coach has the balls to hand the ball off and tell his offense to dominate the line of scrimmage and run the ball into the end zone instead of being a wuss and kicking the FG on first down, lol.

Got lucky last night for sure, but it makes up for the bull**** loss on Jacksonville Thursday night after they pushed the Colts all over the field and still didn't cover
