After taking a beating yesterday from a combination of bad picks and tough beats...
sides 76-63 (+11.60 units)
dog ml's 18-30 (-0.55 units)
overall 94-93 (+11.05 units)
Bills -5
2 units
After failing to cover 3 straight games now, and looking poor in the process, the Bills are still a -5 fave tonight over the Winslow Vaingas. Why? -3.5 seems more than sufficient to me, given the circumstances....maybe even the standard -3 for homefield.
CLE is a soft team, especially on offense. The Pats and Jets used the short passing game along with the run both on later downs, and later in the game once they had the BUF defense tired out to have their way. BUF was never able to adjust, and as a result looked BAD. I don't think CLE can follow this mold, and we should see a BUF team that more resembles the 5-1 form to begin the year, rather than the 0-3 L3 games team.
Might not hurt that the fans tonight in Buffalo should be pretty fired up for a rare MNF game, and Orchard Park isn't an easy place to play in the first place.
Also see a few taking the points cause it's "too many". Seems the line is doing its job, since it doesn't sound too confident that some opinions on why CLE will cover think they are the right choice to actually win outright to me....so I'll stick with pick the winner for this MNF game that the Bills must have, and should be able to get against a soft Browns team.
Oh yea, Whitner should be in the line up tonight. Should help a Bills 2ndary that has not looked so hot with journeymen taking his place the last few weeks.
