Week 11 or whatever it is....

    reg plays 71-55 (+21.40 units)
    dog ml's 18-26 (+3.45 units)
    overall 89-81 (+24.85 units)

    Patriots -3

    3 units

Didn't the Jets lose @ Oakland? That should be ample reason to fade them @ NE right there, LOL

But, if you look at their schedule, with the exception of Buffalo (who is severely slacking themselves), the Jets have played exactly a who's who if the absolute worst teams in the NFL the last 5 weeks. CIN, OAK, KC and STL. I was surprised DET wasn't in there too, but in a few weeks they do get a crack at the 49ers too.

Point is, the Jets are 6-3 as a product of a garbage schedule. The public is super high on NYJ because they've won 5 of their last 6, and they hung 40 on the Lambs last week in the 1st half, and i think there are alot of people still recalling the huge half they had vs ARI too.

NE is certainly not in the NFC West where it's apparently a prerequisite to suck. The road gets a little bumpier tonight, imo, and i'm just taking what i feel is the better team @ home in a pick the winner scenario.

NE beat them @ NYJ, in Cassel's first start, and they should do it again tonight.

Yea, I don't know what the hell to think of either one of those 2 teams anymore. I think the Jets did well last night, and NE played really poorly in the first half, which of course caused the game to get to where it was in the first place.

I have to credit the Jets for eating up all that time at the end of the 4th, and for going down to score in OT too....although I think the Pats suck for not stopping them on 3rd and 15 there in the beginning of OT, more than I think the Jets are great for converting it.

One thing I do know is that I'd lay the fg with NE every single time in that spot and I think that more times than not i'd win. It seems the short turnaround hurt NE more than it hurt NYJ, which i figured would be the other way around....as NE was the team flustered in the first half and then after some halftime adjustments, seemed fine, and to be the better team, all be it too late.

The public was all over NYJ in that one, especially ML, and they kicked the man in the balls with the Jets winning outright....which seems to pretty much be the theme with all of football lately anyway. They were all over VT last night too, and over 90% were on Buffalo ml, and CMU ml the night before.

The public also went 4-1 ATS last Sunday on the really lopsided games (TEN over CHI, NE over BUF, BAL over HOU and CAR over OAK), with their lone ATS loser being SEA over MIA.

Books got a little revenge on MNF with SF covering, but all in all, it seems the public is on fire in football as a whole lately, so nothing new with them taking another kick squarely to the "man's" junk last night, lol....

One thing I do know though is that they are both better than the Bills apparently, and the chances of our team making the playoffs are slim, and none at this point :puke:

          Jets...

The Jets may be playing ball, but I can't see not taking the Titans to handle them at home, hopefully that line gets driven waaaay down thanks to their inspired effort Thursday night :beerbang:

            1pm games:

            Baltimore Raisins +7 (+100)

Going against conventional wisdom of "taking the best team in the NFL against the one playing their 3rd straight roadie here".

Seriously, the public knows both of those things, and so do the oddsmakers. The oddsmakers opened this in pick the winner range, and the public is lined up around the corner to get a piece of the action on NYG. This is the third most lopsided bet game on the card, according to sports insights numbers (70% NYG), only trailing the busloads piling in to play Arizona over Seattle (90 ******* % ARI), and TEN over JAX (73% TEN).

Books took a bloodbath last week, and are up to something this week, with "easy winners" like NYG, TEN, and ARIZ all having fishy as hell lines.

            Gimme the Raisins here....

            Cincinnati Bungles +9.5

Taking home dogs of +6 or more off a bye is a 75%+ proposition in the NFL. I don't need any more reason than that.

            Detroit Lionesses +14

I think Carolina stinks, and I have no idea how they even have a winning record. Sure, DET sucks, but they are getting 2 TD's. Carolina only averages about 20ppg. Now they are asked to cover 2 TD's? "Running it up" is just not their style. I think this game ends up being close at the end, and I have a feeling DET just might end up picking up win #1 today....but that's just a feeling, lol, so no ml "guess", just taking the pts.

            Green Bay Packers -3.5 (-105)

The Bears "D" is awful, and who knows what's going on at QB. GB wins this comfortably, imho...

            Atlanta Falcons -6.5

Wish i had gotten this earlier. Denver is awful. Beating the Winslow Vaginas doesn't change that.

I said it last week, ATL is for real on both sides of the ball. Getting them as a pick the winner over another poor team is nice.

            Minnesota Viqueens +5

Changed my mind on this game, so that will probably bite me in the ass, as TB rolls to an easy double digit win :bang:

            2 team/7 pt teaser @ -130

            Miami -3
            Indy -1

East to West @ 1:00 with the awful Raiders. Miami comes prepared each time out under new leadership of the Parcells regime.

HOU can have all the revenge they want, Indy finds ways to win, and HOU finds ways to lose. Indy getting healthier on D and O-line for the most part which, in addition to Peyton missing a ton of practice in the preseason, were the reasons why indy sucked early. I see no reason why Reggie Wayne doesn't play either, as he practiced all week according to what I've read.

            2 units each

            Minnesota Viqueens ml +180
            Baltimore Raisins ml +250

            1 unit each

                4pm games:

                Seattle Seahawkettes +3 (-105)

Arizona as a road fave, and 90% of the public wants a piece? WTF?

                Jacksonville Jaguars +3 (-120)

This is the Jags SUPER BOWL. They will be without a doubt up for this contest. I still say TEN hasn't really played anyone....including the ****bag Bears last week with Rex GROSSman at QB....now asked to cover 2 straight times as a road fave? This isn't last year's Patriots who were the exception to all these rules, lol, and I think despite the fact that JAX hasn't been a real good team this year, TEN will find the sledding a little tough today against a team who will be giving it all they've got for sure.

OR, i could just be wrong, and TEN could just add another bad team to their list of victims en route to 10-0, lol

                2 units each

                Seattle Seahawkettes ml +135
                Jacksonville Jaguars ml +125

                1 unit each

Well i hope we all learned a lesson today. That would be why we don't play on the Minnesota Viqueens.

As if dominating the entire game vs GB and NOT covering the measly -1.5 wasn't sufficient, now we have blunder after blunder today, culminated by fumbling a kickoff, resulting in TB getting the covering fg, and then, having the best RB in the NFL, and instead, putting the game in the hands of GUS ******* FREROTTE!!!!

Brad Childress, you are officially "mentally challenged" (as to not offend anyone), and if i were the owner/GM of the Viqueens, you would be fired on the spot.

Oh, and lesson #2. I will NEVER EVER EVER play another teaser, as long as I live.

The Miami Dolphins can suck a fat one :pud:

                        Changed my mind.

                        A) Dallas is bad. They turn the ball over alot too.

                        B) Washington has the far better DEFENSE

                        C) Defense wins, especially @ home
