First time post....
Week 5 picks, 1 unit each
Ravens +3- Yes the Titans look like the real deal, but the Ravens also looked impressive in a tough road game at Pitt. Flacco looks like he could finally make this offense respectable, which it hasn't been in years. We know what their D is capable of, so throw in home field and I'll take the points.
Miami +7- Bought a half point on this to make it a nice TD spread. The chargers did not look impressive enough to be laying a TD on the road, and LT just has not looked as impressive this year even with his recent multi-td games. Hopefully this Dolphins team gained some confidence after embarrassing New England, with their new QB Ronnie Brown.
Eagles -6- Philly coming off a tough loss, while the Redskins are coming off a huge win. McNabb is a competitor and he knows Philly needs this game to really not fall behind early in the tough NFC east, and it's starting to look like Westbrook will most likely play which is an obvious huge bonus.
Lions +3.5- As you can tell, I'm usually a supporter of home dogs. It's tough to really give any sound reasoning to why you would bet on the Lions right now. This one is more of a gut feeling about the Lions being able to keep this close since Chicago should be running a lot, and hoping they should at least be able to throw enough to keep them in this game. I'm also still not sold on this Bears offense.
Seahawks +7- Seahawks need this win, and they are getting their 2 best WRs back, Engram and Branch, while the Giants lose their #1, Plaxico. This will be the most complete Seattle team that they have put on the field so far...I'll take the 7 vs a Plaxiless Gmen, and hope this is not one of their letdown road blowouts.
Arizona -1- This one just looks too easy to take the Bills. Especially after the Jets scored at ease against Arizona last week, and Buffalo rolled at STL. Arizona really made some serious defensive blunders that should not have happened though and they should look better this week. I still think Arizona is better then advertised, and I'll take them at home at almost a pick.
Jax-4- Was already leaning towards Jax who I think is starting to put it together after a rough start. Pitts offense still doesn't look in sync, and news just came out that Big Ben is officially listed as questionable and only had once limited practice(today) all week which would make this line even better.
GL everybody.
